    Tow Range

Ive taken my trailer out on few test runs in AZ and been impressed with what I am seeing. I went 89 miles from Phoenix north to Camp Verde elevation change from 1100 to 3100 and went from 95% to 28% charge. Coming back down the mountains i went from 75% to 18% on the same route. I set the cruise...

Model Y Towing - Experiences Post here

I just rented a travel trailer today to see what kind of numbers I would get here in Arizona. It was a small travel lite falcon F14. About 1700 pounds. I was pretty surprised by the consumption. I drove a 40 mile stretch on I-10 south of Phoenix to some super chargers and then back. Pretty flat...

    Let's See Your Charging Setup

Charge Point flex, hardwired for 48 amp charging. Was a pain when I had it installed for a previous car as it is in a detached garage and is almost 100ft from the panel with buried conduit. I purposely had it installed with the 60amp breaker and 6 gauge wire to future proof it as my Chevy Bolt...

    Ball Mount-Rise or Drop position

Hey, I just bought my ball mount that conforms to the specs in the owners manual: Not longer than 8.5 inches and no more than a 3/4 rise. The mount I bought can be either a 2 inch drop or a 3/4 rise. I know this will depend on the trailer hook up but for the 2500ish pound trailers people are...

When seats are down, seatbelt warning blocks display?

Well that is good to know, my dog always makes them pop up when he is moving around in the back seat. I will have to give that a try

    Model Y Brake Controller

I would like to add my 2 cents to this. So i just got my MY two weeks ago with the factory hitch. It still doesnt come with the pigtail and when I went to the service center in Tempe, AZ the parts guy still wasnt really sure what I was talking about. He was able to find the part and then I paid...

New VINs with auto dim mirror issues

Hey there, I just saw on the FB model Y group that apparently there is an issue with the auto dim mirrors on newer vins that they can’t be fully adjusted. For taller people they can’t be moved all the way out or up? The service center apparently tried on multiple new cars and the issue was...

I just noticed the Tesla site now shows the mirrors as auto-dimming, as previously it was not posting that feature.

    Tesla now RENTS solar panels

So it looks like Tesla has changed some terms on the subscription model, and it is now not a $1500 flat fee to remove the panels. From the agreement: System Removal. If the System needs to be removed for any reason, such as your cancellation or for roof repairs, you agree to give Tesla...

    New solar install

Thanks for the replies. So I talk to Tesla today and am finding them rather rigid. They only will do the hanwa panels now, they only increase systems increments of 12 and the contract is rather vague not stating what types of equipment is to be used. My roof has room for a few more panels but...

    New solar install

My biggest concern is under normal conditions is the system large enough to charge the Powerwall during the day if fully discharged. And say during a power outage can they run my AC unit, which is a 5 ton package unit. And are the panels efficient in the summer heat

No there isn’t. Plus it would look pretty awful as well due to the shape of the house. This is the price breakdown:

    New solar install

Hi there, I’m new to the solar game and I was all excited about my new system but after scouring thru this forum I’m worried to the point of canceling my contract with Tesla. I’m in Phoenix and looking at the 7.53 system with 2 PW. I have to have a system that faces East and west due to historic...
