I just had my 2020 MYP w/o performance package, Gemini-mounted 19" Conti tires rotated, at 6500 miles. Front tires had 6/32" tread, rear 7/32". I assume that's after rotation! Hope that helps!

I loaded the new android version (using ApkMirror) while my wife was out driving. The app would track her for a while, then the map basically froze, said it was trying to locate the car, and after a while it found it. This happened several times. I'm back to the old one, since the new version...

I hope so! I ordered the Homelink a couple weeks ago, but now I've canceled my Y. Had a VIN and everything.

One of the spy photos of a Y had a license plate holder in the shallow chunk in the front. I could see alcohol swabs with it.

When you get the Homelink part, you'll see a big warning that the warranty is voided if Tesla doesn't install it.

The Model Y manual shows the dual climate feature. Probably a bug (virus) in software needs to be fixed.

Many companies are sending employees home. I hate to rain on the parade, but I doubt they fill all the deliveries by the end of the month. I hope so, for reasons beyond my car lust! :)

Looking at a couple posts above, maybe they got more complaints than compliments on the auto-dimming side mirrors. Or, it was $$$! ;-)

I went ahead and bought one from Tesla, since they will install it. I'm a butterfingers! I've had a Homelink button on my rear view mirror too long to do away with it, never mind the auto-opening the Tesla setup gives you!

To get more like 315 miles range, than 280, wouldn't you need an aero wheel cover of some sort for trips? Or, a cool looking, aerodynamic "alloy" wheel?

These are from China. The double-spoke wheels are Gemini (twins).

Since I started this thread, I'll point out that Tesla still hasn't fixed the Owner's Manual link on the Account page!

Someone claimed the car had to be delivered with a manual (or link to pdf, etc., presumably). If that's what's holding up deliveries ;) I can picture some technical writing major slaving away at the keyboard, while Elon shouts, "..." Fill in the ellipses.

Now that I look at it again, that's not a commercial car carrier, I don't think! Sorry. :confused: It'll be awhile before any significant mods (console wrap, yes: plastidip wheels, no). My wife has already been very kind about this indulgence! :D

I think you're right, but fortunately I've seen a couple Ys with Gemini wheels, sans aero covers. I'm waiting for a red stealth performance, FSD. I might get the wheels dipped to same color as the black trim, for handles, etc.

Somewhere in these forums, someone said the axle ratings indicated the Y really has a greater GVWR. That post suggested they capped the GVWR to keep it in a certain (regulatory) class.

In the view of the glass roof, taken from behind the Y, where the hatch glass meets the roof glass, it looks like a misalignment on the left side. I'd take a screen shot, if I could be arsed! ;) I only saw it on the third viewing. By then, I was concentrating on the car!

State Farm doesn't need a VIN until a couple weeks after you buy it. Granted, I've been with them for decades, and I have a house, 2 cars, and 2 motorcycles insured with them! I uploaded my "trade in" car's insurance card. That's probably confusing the Master Car Delivery Computer and holding...

I've got the Model 3 Owner's manual, and the link to what logically should be the Y manual, on My Account, takes you to... the My Account page! Anyhow, I wondered if anyone has sussed out an early draft? o_O

I suggest you get an in-person, written quote from CarMax, if you have such nearby, 7 days before you get your car. I'm not shilling for them :D but Tesla supposedly will match that offer on your trade-in.

That's a reasonable rationale; I bet when the Mustang E (or whatever it is) arrives in showrooms, some dealers will be selling well above MSRP!

FWIW, TeslaCanuck on YT bought FSD separately, and has had issues! Suggest you see his video (actually 2 videos). But I see your point!

Mine has 1969, also. I'll take my Delorean back there and tell my 18- year old self that he has a cool new car to drive. Charging might be a problem, though!
