Order before March 1 or wait until end of Q1

OK. I’ll still call and complain because I’m petty…but I’m glad others got Tesla’d as well. 😂.

Order before March 1 or wait until end of Q1

Did anyone else not get the full 10k miles of free supercharging? The order page said get 5k with purchase and another 5k with trade in, but I only got 5k. When I called Tesla they said I had to place the order before the 19th to qualify but the incentive was still on the order page. I’m going...

Order before March 1 or wait until end of Q1

I picked up my MY 7 seater on Friday. Easy process with trade and transfer. The only thing is I had to sign up for premium connectivity before the year subscription would carry over and I already paid for a year for my the 3 I traded in. Acceleration boost added before leaving the Tesla lot...

Order before March 1 or wait until end of Q1

Pulled the trigger on a MY7 gray/white yesterday. Traded in my 22 Model 3 LR and transferring fsd. $4860 off inventory (shout out to the cyber cell!”) $7500 tax credit $1000 off white interior $1000 CT reservation credit 10,000 miles of supercharging 1 year premium connectivity Not a bad...

    Supercharger - Raton, NM

New Mexico seems to be one of the slower states to install DCFC’s. I’m guessing it’s a lack of infrastructure, low population density, utility demand charges and just a general lack of motivation.

    FSDb-Induced Road Rage?

This type of driving is common in CA, except no one never exits the passing lane.

    Supercharger - Denton, TX - 2800 I-35E (Buc-ee's)

Any updates? I’m going to be in Denton soon and I’m tired of going to the bathroom at Joann’s.

Any updates on this install? This location is going to be one of my favorites. 😂

Charging in and around Roswell, NM

Roswell is on the supercharger voting list, although Carlsbad is in the lead at 42nd place. 😢 EA has announced they’re going to install chargers at the Target in Roswell. There is also a charge point CCS in town, awaiting final commissioning.

    Supercharger - Clovis, NM

It’s such a strange sensation when there’s no wind. Like in a horror movie when the characters have a moment of calm. You just feel that something bad is about to happen. Then you hear it. A high pitched bbbuuzzzz of a blood sucking or biting insect thinking that the inside of your ear is a...

They need some place to dump all the old ABB chargers they’re “upgrading” everywhere else. 😂

    On my 5th HVAC failure.

I believe the parts warranty is 12mo or 12,500 miles. I’m sure in this case it was Tesla discretion to replace the parts. The advisor agreed the failures were not normal and I think that’s why they covered the repairs. The new heat pump sounds the same as the old one. The only thing I noticed...

    On my 5th HVAC failure.

Well, the car is fixed again. All covered under Tesla parts warranty. The cause of failure was… a defective ac compressor! The compressor developed a leak and an electrical fault. No one knows why! At least I got the latest and greatest compressor now. They’re at revision M, that replaced my...

    On my 5th HVAC failure.

I feel for you man. I love the car but it’s has become the kinda love someone has for an abusive spouse. Everyone: just leave her ass! Me: “She didn’t mean to freeze me to death. She’s really good 99% of the time. She said it won’t happen again. She’s actually really nice and loves me! I’m...

    On my 5th HVAC failure.

To be fair, most of the miles are trips to the service center. And on my way to the SC again. I think Tesla owes me a sweater, or a nice pair of wool socks.
  17. H

    On my 5th HVAC failure.

Service mode is pretty convenient. However I have found in my career that diagnostic data sometimes doesn’t tell the whole story. If you only look at what the repair procedure tells you, other problems can be missed. It is a garbage in garbage out system, and the technicians are nothing more...

IIRC they replaced the compressor and super manifold at around 24k for a climate keeper fault.
  21. H

    On my 5th HVAC failure.

Warranty is from x-care. The current estimate is $3700.00. If that holds true and lord T doesn’t cover anything, the warranty will have paid for itself.

    On my 5th HVAC failure.

I placed my order around June last year. And in typical Tesla fashion my delivery time frame is when I have vacation planned in FL. Original delivery time frame was March. 🤷‍♂️ I submitted my info to one of the lemon law chasing lawyers. I’ll see what they say.
  23. H

    On my 5th HVAC failure.

The compressor and super manifold have been replaced several times along with a couple refrigerant lines. They have not replaced any interior heat exchangers. I’m not sure if its refrigerant or coolant cooling the interior, but I bet it’s refrigerant.. I’ll ask.

    On my 5th HVAC failure.

The aftermarket warranty is good for 120k and cost about $4k. I’m going to ask them to explain the repeated failures and see if their engineers want to buy it from me so they can analyze it and make improvements..😂 I suppose I was out to prove these cars are reliable and was planning to keep...

https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/posts/6715989/ See my post about the previous failures in the link above. It’s 39deg/f out and my 2020 MYP has a climate system requires service message and won’t heat… urgh! Now at 87k miles. Service has been notified and waiting to schedule. I’m so glad I...

The only thing keeping me from upgrading to a newer Tesla is that we can't transfer FSD, anyone else?

If Tesla’s method for cars is volume over margin, then why not FSD? $3k FSD or $20 per month subscription!
  30. H

The only thing keeping me from upgrading to a newer Tesla is that we can't transfer FSD, anyone else?

I’ve got a question. 10 years from now and FSD is solved, Tesla robotaxis are a thing, and the FSD package is $100k. What happens as these cars mile out or get totaled? does your $3k-$15k FSD software now cost $100k to replace? Good deal, for Tesla!
  31. H

The only thing keeping me from upgrading to a newer Tesla is that we can't transfer FSD, anyone else?

FUSC, $10k transfer fee and it goes up $5k for each time it’s transferred. With enough money, anything is possible.
  32. H

The only thing keeping me from upgrading to a newer Tesla is that we can't transfer FSD, anyone else?

With the subscription service it doesn’t make sense to buy FSD outright anymore, especially at $15k. We’ll see what free upgrades are offered to HW4 for current FSD owners, that could sway the economics a bit. I won’t buy FSD for my next Tesla. My compromise is to treat FSD like a transferable...

Highest mileage driven so far & reliability issue’s long term.

I’m on the fence with selling my MYP with FSD when my new 7 seat MYLR is ready to be delivered. The MYP is a 2020 with 84,000 miles. When the warranty runs out do I need to bank $10k if the battery goes t*ts up? Or do I sell it before that happens? hopefully the future will bring $4k battery...

    Supercharger - Big Spring, TX

I don’t understand why the people of an energy producing city or town would be against electric cars, indirectly powered by natural gas, but I’ve charged there a few times and I get some “looks”. Lol The chargers in Midland seem to get by unharmed.

    Battery and range issues

My MYs real world range compared to rated range is pretty bad, but understandable. It’s basically a MX75D. My MYP gets just under 200 miles of range while cruising at TX highway speeds, while my M3LR gets almost 300 miles in the same conditions. Range is most effected by speed and the size of...

    Battery health test

Yes total sarcasm. Lol. I’m happy with the battery capacity at the moment. But if Elon offered to install a new 100kwh battery I wouldn’t say no. The TX wind and speed limits have my actual range at around 180 miles.

    Battery health test

Just ran this test on my 2020 MYP with 82k miles. battery health is at 85%. I’d like my new 100kwh battery Installed next week please, by Elon himself.

    Supercharger - Clovis, NM

With Clovis permitted, and Roswell NM in the top twenty for supercharger voting, maybe this charging hole in SE NM will finally get filled. Does anyone think that Francis energy will get their chargers online before Tesla?
  42. H

I bet they're waiting for the old EA stations to be pulled out of service so they can get used 150-350kw chargers at a reduced cost. Honestly it's not a bad idea since the chargers they did install are only 30-60kw

    Supercharger - Clyde, TX

I think there was/is a question in the community awhile back on wether or not you could open the charge port with the button on the charging handle, even if the car was locked. But yes they seem to be using/abusing that spot just to park.
  47. H

    Supercharger - Clyde, TX

I've heard of people using a cut off charger connector as a way to keep someone from plugging their car in if they are occupying but not using a SC stall. The idea is that they'll move their car to not get hit with idle fees.

Supercharger - Dallas, TX - Mountain Creek Parkway

This is great! DFW is so big that when I’m visiting friends from out of town I have to look for chargers. Most of the time it’s Grapevine or Denton so the more in the area the better! We need chargers on the west and north side of Fort Worth please. Also Weatherford!
