I definitely thought about waiting for the Redeye, but figured it would be pretty easy to get the Hellcat up to Redeye power and save some cash in the process. You described the fun factor perfectly. I missed it enough to go back. I’ll have another EV to accompany it one day though.

The Hellcat definitely needs some drag radials to really hook at the track. The Tesla is in trouble at that point. By no means do I think they’re slow though.

Me too! If I didn’t have a family and need the four doors I would have loved a manual Hellcat Challenger.

Don’t get me wrong, there are some things I’ll definitely miss about the Tesla. We started off on the wrong foot though. The paint on mine was pretty bad. I’m sure going with a black one contributed to that.

Yeah, the exhaust will stay stock on this one. Been there done that with the crazy loud exhaust. Very cool first car. With a stick too. That’s awesome! I may look into a Model S Performance in a few years.

Well said! Two different tools for sure. I grew up at the drag races with my dad and having a muscle car in the garage so I had to follow my heart. I’d love to have both one day.

In hindsight, I probably should have just shot it in the garage for better audio, but I also wanted to share some of the driving experience and sound. I’ll use this as a good excuse to get a quality mic setup :)
