Tire Pressure and Range - One Mans Test Results

Can I assume your “44 PSI” is cold?

TPMS reports "tire pressure higher than recommended value" at 45 PSI

Jim, If you say tire pressures with out ’cold or warm’ info it don’t mean much!

Front Fog Light clouded with condensation

My fog light kept getting heavy, condensation off and on but by now it’s had condensation for months and we’re well into the dry summertime, with no car washes having happened. When I was in Tesla Service for something else I mentioned it and they said all they could do is replace it (no...

    Weird metal noise

I think it is a stone trapped between the disc cover and disc = not the pad & disc. See my post above...

    Weird metal noise

I had what seems to be the same horrible sound. It turned out to be a small stone that had gotten lodged between Tesla's unique brake disc cover and the disc. I followed some instructions I found here or online and went forward and back a few feet each a number of times till the stone fell out...

    Model S Slid Away...

A very similar situation was posted of a Model 3 Performance sliding on a driveway and ripping out the charger. I found the resulting discussion 'eye opening' about the 'Performance' tires on the car and ALL performance, non-winter or non-All-Season tires. These tires CANNOT be used at temps...

MASTER THREAD: Powering house or other things with Model 3

--n2mb seems to make the most sense here--any confirmation of what he claims? I have an old Prius and years ago I read in a Prius forum similar to this one how to hook up a 1200 watt inverter to the 12V battery, leave the car on and the drive pack will automatically keep the 12V charged and now...

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

Hey guys, No offense intended but are there any real battery engineers here? I am not but I have been driving EVs for 15 years and have read a lot. Tesla may have cutting edge-state-of-the-art tech that makes my past observations obsolete (?) As I understand it; it is a challenge for the...

Moisture condensation in taillights, fog lights, etc

After reading all 11 pages here is my conclusion; (drum roll) Other cars do do it too but it is common on Tesla and other hitech cars like new Mercedes that have LED lights. Theory is that most cars can dry out any condensation with the heat from the bulbs but LEDs don't generate enough heat...

Moisture condensation in taillights, fog lights, etc

--Could you please check with a pin and see if it is an open hole into the entire light housing? There is talk here that there are 'Two skins' = an inner and outer and I'm wondering if the hole goes through both or just the outer. If it's both I'll drill a tiny hole and see what happens.

    Newbie struggling with scheduled charging...

I will piggyback onto this thread with a similar question. I'm using the 110V mobile connector and also live in N CA with low rates from 12am to 3pm. I can start charging at 12am no problem but why must I go out to the car to stop charging at 3pm = why can't the car be scheduled to do that...

    Funniest Tesla Question Thread

This is not a dumb question but rather a dumb answer--perhaps pop doesn't know the answer to this good and appropriate tech question?? The answer is that regenerative braking only recovers a fraction of what the motor uses up so the car would come to a stop before charging the battery enough...
