The following, to me, seems counterintuitive but there's a big chance that 245/60R18 might actually be superior to 255/55R18 as far as contact path is concerned (meaning, a larger tire area is touching the road on the narrower 245 tire) While not exactly apples to apples ... for ref check this...

Most tires I have seen support either 8.5" to 10.0" width rim or even 7.5" to 9.5" meanwhile the common 18" wheels are either 8.5" width or 9.0" width so I see no issue here? Pretty sure 255/55R18 works for the Model Y ?

I don't think that you are limited to 235 if you downsize to 18"

Didn't get to try it but my understanding is that the 18" version is just as efficient as the model 3 OEM aero wheels, thus the 19" version might edge out the 19 OEM wheels however probably not by enough to justify the cost.

Is it too soon to say that you made my year? Imo this future product is a must buy for any S/X/Cybertruck owners (I'm in favor of , Model 3/Y steering wheel + controls + Stalks)

I am on 245/40R19 Continental DWS06+, while ranged reduced a little, it 'feels' softer than OEM tires which I like, but visually its really hard to tell its not OEM size.

Sadly even costumer outrage won't move Tesla an inch. Only when they start pilling up in parking lots of delivery centers with new vehicle delivery time frame being hours rather than months will they consider a change, sucks to say but until that happens my next EV is not a stalkless Tesla :|...
