Cooling the Performance Model 3 On Track – An Overview of Our Modified Heat Exchangers

Not sure if @juliusb has a copy of the post that they made, sounds like they spent some time creating it, perhaps you could DM them a copy of their post so that they wont have to start from scratch when contacting @MasterC17 on another website/platform?

    Lifted Model Y Owners: Report!

Converting will probably cost you 3x that (ex ) even without EV incentive (state/fed) R2 will probably end up cost 2/3 or 1/5 of that conversion haha

You might want to consider 24 gallon auxiliary tank for your lexus (Long Range America | Lexus GX 470 & Toyota 4th Gen 4Runner (2003-2009) – 24 Gallon Auxiliary) As for your Model Y, probably best bet is to go with Gen 2 Model 3's 18" aero wheels combined with all season tires rather than off...

    Lifted Model Y Owners: Report!

If I had to guess, assuming no strong headwinds, if driving with traffic (~70 to 75mph) with properly inflated tires... probably no more than 190 miles of range, if driving slow (60mph) maybe 230 miles on a good day? I'd love to know the actual numbers though

    EV01(+) 19x8.5" on Model X

Ended up buying a Rivian R1S so never got to try this, sorry! Specs wise and based on earlier replies here it seems like it would work, if you go for this please do share your results

18" Aero wheels and Model Y load limits

    Lifted Model Y Owners: Report!

The following, to me, seems counterintuitive but there's a big chance that 245/60R18 might actually be superior to 255/55R18 as far as contact path is concerned (meaning, a larger tire area is touching the road on the narrower 245 tire) While not exactly apples to apples ... for ref check this...

Range Extending Wheels for Model Y Performance (MYP)

Most tires I have seen support either 8.5" to 10.0" width rim or even 7.5" to 9.5" meanwhile the common 18" wheels are either 8.5" width or 9.0" width so I see no issue here? Pretty sure 255/55R18 works for the Model Y ?
  10. A

Range Extending Wheels for Model Y Performance (MYP)

I don't think that you are limited to 235 if you downsize to 18"
  11. A

Range Extending Wheels for Model Y Performance (MYP)

Didn't get to try it but my understanding is that the 18" version is just as efficient as the model 3 OEM aero wheels, thus the 19" version might edge out the 19 OEM wheels however probably not by enough to justify the cost.

Enhance Auto - aka S3XY buttons working on something interesting for refreshed S/X

    Lifted Model Y Owners: Report!

The two are virtually the same, both could benefit from the rear camber arms, slight variations in manufacturing of your vehicle could translate to needing it more or less, not a deal breaker either way. As for reasons to go one or the other, MPP pioneered the vertical spacer for the Model 3 and...

Work in progress: stalks on 2021 Model S. (and optional round-y wheel)

Via 😲 S3XY Stalks coming mid 2024 Looks like "S3XY Buttons" will be able to do gear change + they are 'soon' coming out with stalks: Hey everyone! As most of you have seen, the new Model 3 Highland is available for pre-order in Europe and Asia, and to no surprise, it...

Work in progress: stalks on 2021 Model S. (and optional round-y wheel)

They are for sure going to do the same on the Model Y refresh that is 100% in the works already, meaning going forward all Teslas will have no stalks (which means I'm pretty much done with Tesla, at least until such time that this kind of solution will be made available for purchase, Tesla...

MPP Lift Kit Install Instructions, Range Discussion & Driving Impressions

Apologies for the confusion, somehow got the threads mixed up. That does explain your 235/60R18 fitting as that is for sure not going to work on a Model 3 haha Putting a request for a mod to remove the posts to avoid future confusion

What tires do you use? And on which wheels? (Width, offset)?

    Lifted Model Y Owners: Report!

I wonder what's the labor like for getting that kit installed :x looks awesome though I can't help but to wish Tesla would have graced us with slightly larger wheel wells Would also love to see a (short) video of it in action, just how much can the wheel articulate..

Maybe I am biased but one allows you to easily enter/exit the vehicle and drive over more adverse conditions while the other requires you to drive diagonally at 1mph over speed bumps, that said I can see the aerodynamic advantages.. 🤔

Is there any reason not to use Continental ExtremeContact™ DWS06 Plus 255/55R18 on Method 502 Rally Matte Black Wheels 18x8 ET+38mm on a Model Y Performance? If literally zero dirt or off roads, isn't Falken WILDPEAK A/T TRAIL somewhat of an overkill with the tradeoff of providing less range...

Thank you for sharing! Looks like lots of fun. It make sense that you would be the only Tesla there: To take a Rivian R1T/R1S off-road you ... go off road, to take a Tesla its probably best if you go 255/55R18, maybe toss in a lift kit and some rear camber arms, to know that you can do it you...

I wonder how this compares to the MPP lift kit, I can only assume that the ride quality is better? Looks great! Would love these in 18", forged and hopefully with some weight reduction thank to it, maybe integration with Rimgard too while we are at it, Bonus points if you make it 18x9.0 and with offset of ET+30mm.

Model 3 Tires, Tire Sizes, Types, make / model recommendations, tire discussions, etc

Correct! My car is an early 2020, delivered in end of 2019 with a "2020" sticker, it pre-dates the double panned glass, the model y, the heat pump and the octovalve, some by just a handful of months. Amazing in many ways but the wind noise is subcontinental. There are numerous threads and...

Model 3 Tires, Tire Sizes, Types, make / model recommendations, tire discussions, etc

I moved from OEM 235/40R18 to 245/40R19, lost the foam but can't honestly tell, the main thing that I heard is wind and it overpowers all other sources of sound. Maybe on a newer Tesla with double panned glass I would be able to tell the sound difference. What I can tell is that the ride is...

Work in progress: stalks on 2021 Model S. (and optional round-y wheel)

this, this a hundred times, this a THOUSAND TIMES. It is EXACTLY what I wrote about several pages back and why I have an R1S reservation .. the no super charger part is going to be the end of me though... so really rooting for OP here to deliver a product so I could get it for my Cybertruck ..

    Lifted Model Y Owners: Report!

I looked more at the calculators online and the only gain from that 18x9 is +5.5mm ride height, hardly anything to write home about and drawbacks include even worse range ... yeah I think 18x8 is the sweet spot. For Model Y Long Range though ... maybe Model 3 aero wheels rev 2 are a supprior...

out of spec tire size and traction control

Work in progress: stalks on 2021 Model S. (and optional round-y wheel)

Sadly even costumer outrage won't move Tesla an inch. Thank you, for me, honestly, I would be happy to pay $5,000 especially if that included installation (but not a must) I view it as ratio of benefit vs cost... and can't think of anything more beneficial one can buy for a vehicle than this.

From what I know about Tesla they rarely if ever allow for retrofit to be done by Tesla. And they install costumer supplied parts. Nor will they sell parts that don't match the VIN. So anyone here reading this thread with a car that didn't come with double panned glass that wants to buy the...
