FYI, the Tesla switch has MB part number a2129059300 mold on it. So if you can't get one at Tesla SC, you can buy the MB one from Ebay.

The trim is just held on by metal spring clips. You can see in my pic where all the clips are. Maybe 1 of the clips fell out when the trim panel came loose.

The power strut is using the 12v system. If I have to guess, I would say the power strut is wearing out, not the 12v battery system. Remember the 12v is charged by that big battery pack so unless the 12v is bad, it should be charged.
