    Supercharger - Troutdale, OR

Yep, pretty sure that's what we were looking at. It looked "complete" when I stopped by as well. If we skip back to MP3Mike's post from august, the plans show it over on the green space near the Electrify America charging station. All that said, the plan also states that it'll be updated by...

    Supercharger - Troutdale, OR

I cruised through here today (forgot to take a pic!). Stations are still waiting for power, just getting a nice light powerwash from all the rain. Unfortunately it also looks like the parking line paint wasn't fully cured before our cold snap, because it's already chipping/cracking and a lot...

🤣 Can you tell I have a single-track mind? OG. WANT. MORE. CHARGER.

    Supercharger - Sprague, WA

IMO you're absolutely right, although I think the real bottleneck on I90 (whoops, not I90, I was thinking of HWY 395) is at tri-cities. With a long range car, Ritzville can be bypassed (at least in the summer, not so much in the winter). But if you're going from Portland to Spokane, you...

    Supercharger - Hood River, OR

Agreed. It was fine back in 2017 (or even earlier, it was opened in 2014 when there were practically no teslas) when you could always roll up and charge, but multiple times in the last 2 years I've had to wait for people (who are inevitably trying to get all the way to 95%+ LOL). Then, even when...

    Supercharger - Troutdale, OR

Oh yeah derp, not sure how I missed that it's 8 stalls... got too excited by Deus' comment lol. If it's implying that both the chargers and curb will be new that'd make sense. Model S/X might stick out a teeny bit, but I feel like people have a harder time dealing with narrow spots than short...

    Supercharger - Troutdale, OR

I drove past here this weekend so figured I'd check the area out. There's still plenty of room for chargers here. Thankfully, the superchargers won't be in the strange little "loading zone" that I was worried they might try to use, since there are already third party chargers there. Like Mike...

    Supercharger - Troutdale, OR

Consider me at least somewhat impressed. I figured we wouldn't even see an application for another year. Hope we see some broken ground before end of the year... It's in a good location, there's an electrify america station here already and some volta L2 stations, plus there's actually some...

    Supercharger - Portland, OR

Ughhhhhh.... yeah, I just saw that today lol. Actually, Hood river would be great too. As long as it's at least ~8 V3 stalls, it should be in a good location and would probably meet demand for the near future. On the flip side, going to do Bend this weekend and looks like SC spacing is pretty...

    Supercharger - Portland, OR

Of the SCs I've been to, the Dalles is my least favorite, by far. It's disappointing. I can just barely make it to Tri-cities in my 3 from Portland, if I leave with 100% charge. Even then, its dicey, usually with the headwind it's not doable. Coming back to Portland, I'm not waiting 50+mins...

    Supercharger - Portland, OR

I agree completely. I'd pay to charge at destination charging in addition to paying for parking if I could leave my car there for a few hours. Basically every other EV charging network makes you pay a flat fee or subscription (or an increased price/kWh) for charging, but their chargers are...

    Supercharger - Portland, OR

The problem for me is that if I drive downtown and paying to park, I'm staying for a while to justify it. Otherwise, I'll take the Max across the river. However, the main reason I visit superchargers is to charge quickly and leave. I'm not going to also pay $6 just to sit and charge for a...

    Supercharger - Hillsboro, OR

This is what I assumed too. It sure isn't getting installed in the middle of the Lief Erikson trail like Tesla's map shows. Unless there's an EV quad trail in the middle of forest park that I don't know about...

Supercharger - The Dalles, OR (LIVE Aug 2014, 5 V2 stalls)

Isn't the saying "If a problem does not exist, an engineer will create one?" I've done a few private installs for coworkers and the like, but each time I've had everything signed off by a CE before we turn anything on. Perhaps I'm too paranoid... but I've had one too many near-misses with...

    Supercharger - Hines, OR

I have friends in SLC and Park City, and used to drive this route with my ICE to visit them. I'd love to be able to drive this route again!

    Supercharger - Hillsboro, OR

Ya, there are a surprising amount of those - I'm one of them, but I can charge at work. Local fast charging (even including Tesla) is not good. Also, to my earlier comment, there are a lot of people who want to charge on the way to (or returning from) the coast. I see this as useful even if you...

    Supercharger - Hillsboro, OR

It depends but in many cases no. If you're travelling on to Seattle, or if you live near the bridges, then the Vancouver chargers are best. However if you don't live close or aren't heading on to Seattle, then it's not great at all. A trip to Vancouver adds 15-30+ minutes of time if you live on...

Supercharger - Vancouver, WA - NE Vancouver Mall Drive

HA, I wonder if auto-park can handle diagonal back-in parking? /s

    Supercharger - Hillsboro, OR

They're still be adding some urban chargers in CA and Seattle. I think they still make a lot of sense if there are more than 14+ stalls and there's stuff to do nearby. If there's only going to be 6-10 stalls or if the location is serving long distance drivers then agreed V3 makes the most sense...

    Supercharger - Hillsboro, OR

Finally. PDX is still a supercharger & destination charger dead zone. The urban super in Tigard is a total mess. It'll be nice to go to the coast without using slow third party L3 charging to top up on the way out.
