They pushed it up actually. Got me in on the 20th 6 hours before my flight leaves. Gonna be a rush to the airport. Good thing these go decently fast.

I really wish Tesla would just figure things out. My check was delivered on the 21st according to the tracking, but they haven't deposited it into my account. Supposed to take delivery on Saturday and this may slow things down.

Yeah, dealership laws vary from state to state. The point being that some states you can pay at delivery, others you must have completed payment in full prior to delivery.

I'm not sure how it is elsewhere, but in Texas they won't bring the car into the state until it is paid in full. The SA cannot accept payment on site.

If you do run conduit, be sure that the material complies with local code. My house (bought after it was already built) had conduit run but it was plastic. Local code requires metal conduit for solar so they couldn't use it.

Well, good news is I heard back in 1 day from submission on my interconnect agreement. Bad news is they rejected it. Tesla didn't include on the diagram submitted where the electric meter is located in relation to the disconnect. Should be an easy fix, but boy was I disappointed to see an email...

It is going to depend on your usage, location, etc. Based on my usage history, the 6.8kW system should meet 75-100% of my needs during the day. If we are using all that is generated then there's not much left to go back to PW. Granted, the PW would be just a novelty for me. Net metering, no TOU...

Update: The layout from Tesla wasn't spot on and they weren't able to fit all the panels. Down 4 panels so dropping from an 8.16kW system to a 6.8kW system. Definitely made me glad we didn't do powerwalls. 8.16kW would have been right around 100% daily use. 6.8 is still better than nothing, but...

Downside is from what I can see on the TCEQ website is that it expires January 7, 201 Light-Duty Motor Vehicle Purchase or Lease Incentive Program Which puts more pressure to look to an alternative like the Mach E if you want the full $10,000 credit available for Texas residents.

Unfortunately Texas' rebates have expired. I don't think it will be higher, and honestly wouldn't expect it to be at the different price points. It is more a tired of playing the waiting game on the LR RWD and getting no updates.

Thanks for sharing. I have my install with the Houston team next month (originally scheduled for Thursday, but with Marco/Laura went ahead and rescheduled it). I'll keep an eye on mine, and please keep us updated on the process.

Install was originally scheduled for Thursday, but given Marco & Laura are uncertainties on their way to Houston I went ahead and called and was able to reschedule for September 14th. Wish I could have held onto Thursday, but that's probably the most unpredictable day so far.

FYI, after talking to my advisor he said when you get PTO call in. Otherwise you go in a queue with everyone else and you have to wait your turn. But if you call in, you're automatically moved up to the front of the queue to get activation.

Permit issued about 1-2 weeks ago (it has been a very busy month so forget exactly when). I got a call yesterday from scheduling and had availability for today, but by the time we confirmed it, it was gone. Still scheduled for Aug 28th in Houston.

Permits approved! Now to schedule install :)

I ignore it by saving thousands of dollars. Those sites are marketing for 3p installers, since Tesla doesn't use 3p advertisers they aren't showing up. Selection bias - people looking to leave a review elsewhere tend to be those with negative things to say.
