Once you have the car then any refinancing will have to be with the bank directly. Based on what you're saying, sounds like the rate change may not be that much should we refinance with the bank directly?

And if you car on finance before April 1 then it'll be best to refinance with RBC/Scotia/Whomever your bank is to get the latest and greatest rate - keep in mind you would get a credit hit though.

96 months at 3.6 with Scotia. Started at 3.87 a month ago.

Don't think pricing will go up but govt rebate fund will keep dwindling. If you delay delivery and rebate ends then you lose on rebate.

Banks have started lowering their prime rate tomorrow so technically, Tesla should be able to start offering the revised loan rate to us later tomorrow or Wednesday for sure.

I wonder how much lower the monthly payments will be. Supposedly all major banks are setting their prime to 2.95 tomorrow (currently 3.45). I'm tempted to defer too but just don't see it (plus greedy to drive it lol).

Because the banks haven't done anything with the latest BOC drop, Tesla is not going to update anyone's rate - not yet - once the likes of Scotia/RBC decide to adjust their prime, Tesla can then adjust their offered rate too. They usually do a rate check for you a day or two before delivery day...

I emailed auto finance Tesla and the guy responded and said: "RBC is holding rates for the month, no changes. Same with Scotiabank. Rates might change next month but we won’t know until the 1st of the month."

Also interested to know this. I've dropped to 3.6 from 3.87 (beginning of March's prime cut)

Financing with Tesla will be your best bet at this point. They are giving the best rate right now it seems.
