I spoke too soon... there no QC anymore. Car wasn't ready so I waited 15 min and they drove it around. There is a bolt on the floor... I hope they replaced it. The rear screen doesn't work. Infotainment controls aren't working. The front is scraped from the flatbed and there's bird *sugar* on my...
135 miles on mine and it's been in the shop since 9/30. "We found the root cause is the vehicle car computer. I have the part on order and am working to get an estimate of when it will be here." (That was on the 10/5.)
Come on Tesla, I know you're better than this!
Not to nitpick your suggestions but spirited (track) driving leaves short/no transitions between acceleration and deceleration... Engine braking and coasting are also track no no's.
I haven't gotten a chance to drive/ride in a p85. No gears and linear throttle make high speed turns predictable to say the least. Nothing to upset the car and low body roll throughout. Steering feedback is a little numb but I'm getting a nice constant squeal on the exit ramps as cars...
90 miles today and all I can say initially is that I would not want this car without a + suspension. Sorry that I need more seat time to compare it to anything else but the car is nothing less than breathtaking and the acceleration sensation is violent and effortless. And then I took the wife...
Previous m5, m3, viper, Ferrari, Fisker, Porsche and Atom owner (all road raced) receiving my p+ car within the week. I'll get her on a lift and see what's going on with some pics.
I have preferred the spec, quality and price of aftermarket parts for most of my cars regardless of make. I hope with Tesla's production #'s there will soon be a number of companies providing mod's.
Darn... I was just informed my P+ delivery window (4/24-5/8) was incorrect. Although my S85 test drive was also brief, I could tell immediately that I would need to do some suspension work before my first track day. The timing was right when the P+ was announced so I got lucky.
