    Hansshow Audio Upgrade? (SR+)

They were used for the inactive top A-pillar tweeter. Your harness would have plugged into the unplugged female to replace it and you leave the old one dangling.

    Hansshow Audio Upgrade? (SR+)

No DSP tweaks yet. I was able to use the Tesla EQ settings only and got it very close to where I like it. Also the remote sub adjuster for handling the sub cutoff/gain. I don’t think I need to adjust DSP yet but I did leave the USB cable easily accessible should you want to in the future.

    Hansshow Audio Upgrade? (SR+)

I totally couldn’t agree more! Like you, I REALLY wanted the LR premium stereo. I tried the DIY activation version and was underwhelmed. The DIY harness makes minimal improvements (no power, no low end). Once I upgraded to the Version F which includes a decent DSP and a very capable sub...

    Hansshow Audio Upgrade? (SR+)

If you’re doing the DIY activation harness, there is no DSP, nor any yellow wire to hook up to 12v power. Skip this step. It’s not applicable to the DIY version. I speak from putting it in successfully, then weeks later removing and switching out for Version F.

    Hansshow Audio Upgrade? (SR+)

I just uninstalled my DIY version a few days ago (to upgrade to Version F). It was easy everywhere except that particular plug (going into the ICE). The trick was two-fold. Actually push it in further to help 'release' the clip, then when pulling it outward make sure you push in the little...

    Hansshow Audio Upgrade? (SR+)

No they do not. Hansshow is working on a 2021 version.

    Hansshow Audio Upgrade? (SR+)

I would obviously have hooked them up if they were there, but the extra work involved if they are not there is substantial and also involves cutting 4” holes in the rear deck as there are no actual holes on the deck beneath the grills. I ran all the wires from the DSP anyway and stowed them in...

    Hansshow Audio Upgrade? (SR+)

Mine is a March 2020 - no rear shelf speakers. The kit included them but I have not installed them yet as it’s a huge pain in the ass for very little gained IMHO. It sounds great without them. The Hansshow video shows them removing the grills from the top, where I have heard is not really as...

    Hansshow Audio Upgrade? (SR+)

Just finished my Version F install, after having been one of the first to install the $80US DIY activation harness version. While the DIY was decent as it did activate my tweeters, I still lacked the punch of a sub, so decided to wait and see how other versions evolved and played out. After 58...

    Hansshow Audio Upgrade? (SR+)

Very interesting on the Version F (mine shipped last week and supposed to be here tmrw). That rear deck installation is bizarre going from the top and “sticking” the speakers in like that with gum adhesive. I do like the sub compared to the other versions (shallow rectangular enclosures). Also...

    Hansshow Audio Upgrade? (SR+)

High volumes yes. Distortion no. It's a nice upgrade for $80USD. But I miss the bass from an actual sub. So I'm selling this harness soon and already have a Version F on the way. Will install myself and see how is goes (I'm sure there will be a lot of custom DSP tweaking, which I'm happy to...

    Hansshow Audio Upgrade? (SR+)

Yes my EQ recommendations above to get the door woofer punch back is for the DIY version (activation harness for inactive speakers only, no sub, not Version A). I understand it is also a problem with other versions, but this was just for the DIY harness only. Works well.

    Hansshow Audio Upgrade? (SR+)

You CAN get good sound with the DIY version, but yes if you don’t go into your EQ settings, the sound will be too harsh while losing woofer power in the front doors. The key thing to make it sound good AFTER the DIY harness is to make your EQ like the picture attached. Brings down the harsh...

    Hansshow Audio Upgrade? (SR+)

No, I never got a “response” email confirming the order other than the order# after checkout on their webpage. So I WhatsApp’d them and they confirmed right away that it it would ship Dec.10.

    Hansshow Audio Upgrade? (SR+)

Hoping to hear from someone who ordered the Version F with the new sub design. I ordered a week ago and they told me it would ship Dec 10.

    Hansshow Audio Upgrade? (SR+)

These two rear surround speakers Hansshow is including, does anyone know if they are better or worse than the stock rear surrounds? I heard someone mention they were “cheaper”, but I’d like to know an actual comparison. I may opt out of their option for these and install higher end 4” speakers...

Upgraded SR Partial Audio to Full Premium

Fantastic comments. I am picking up my new SR+ this weekend and my biggest struggle was the sound system compared to the LR. I'm an audiofile and love my deep bass (yes typically hip hop!) that I find lacks in typical stock non-premium systems because they lack the sub. I spent $1500...

Upgraded SR Partial Audio to Full Premium

So you're saying the best bang for the buck on upgrading the SR+ sound system is to add the rear deck speakers (if they are actually there or not in the 2020) instead of some sort of aftermarket sub?
