Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

FSD might not drive the exact way you drive. I for example prefer to drive close to the shoulder in a way that freaks out my wife, and she drives so close to the center line that it freak me out. At least robotaxi won’t be like the cab driver that blasts techno music and texts his girlfriend...

Great clip. I had similar thoughts when Elon started slashing Twitter employees and some average software developer friends of mine were so convinced that Twitter will fail because of it. Because of their experience as mediocre devs in mediocre companies led by mediocre people for mediocre...

These people are annoyed because Elon is not afraid to be who he is. These people are scared of what their parents think, what their friends think etc. and whenever they people see a person who is comfortable in their own skin it triggers them like nothing else. Not everyone will love Tesla and...

BYD seal pricing was announced for finland today. Model 3 RWD (43,990€) Seal RWD (47,690€). AWD 51,990€ and 50,990€ respectively. Performance about the same BYD a bit better, charging rates higher for Tesla, and AWD range higher. Still the narrative in media is about the shockingly low prices...

My understanding is that long term capital gains are taxed at 0% up to $80+k for married filing jointly. And 15% after that unless your gains are high. So you can get quite a bit over $100k of long term cap gains as a joint filer before you even get to $5k

While I think Elon is banking a bit too much on the supposed inevitability of actual intelligence being possible artificially, the size of the team doesn’t tell much. Great example. Or the one where glyphosates that do not affect any mammalian pathway affect gut microbes that at the time weren't known to be a big part of who and what we are. We have many unintended consequences of our actions that we will most likely never know the true cause of, because we...

    Climate Change Denial

It is just an example. One can acknowledge that there are events that we know quite well will happen at some point, we just don't know exactly well, but we can also acknowledge that there events that we don't even know about could happen. Current trends are towards centralization of capital, and...

There’s also an analogy for this in product development. Test first with small experiments before scaling. We are not doing that right now. How do you think a globally electric electrified economy might do if we lost the grid for a few years. Open up your mind a bit and engage with the right...

    Climate Change Denial

Like I’ve said multiple times, the problem is the scale and speed. We engage in new ways of doing things at scale before we can validate them in the real world. Animal products, plant based products. This is neither as straightforward. There's a real role in nature for creatures that disrupt the succession process.
