Do any Model 3 car covers works over the Tesla roof rack?

Feeling like I'm missing something obvious. Searches show lots of rack posts and lots of car cover posts, but never the two shall meet. Does the Tesla or any other known model 3 cover fit over the Tesla roof racks? I'm looking for one to protect from the Pacific NW outdoors while away two months.

    Recirculate keeps turning off

 Thanks for that edge case, but to me it's blame-the-user silliness. What I want is protection from actual hazards. You know, as opposed to my car using incomplete information to work against me.

    Recirculate keeps turning off

We stopped using auto mode once we realized it was homicidal. Never fails, get stuck in heavy traffic and the car decides to flood the cabin with Diesel exhaust. Always hated this behavior in other cars. I'd hoped Tesla would be on top of it. Now, since Covid and the fires... uh, Elon? Does...

    GPS Antenna Disconnected/Backup Cam black

No I did not. That was March. (Wow) Because of all the uncertainty back then, and Oregon's only SC being almost centered in Oregon's first hot zone, I cancelled that appointment. Fortunately the camera and nav have been fine since.

    Car Sick

I'm too familiar with motion sickness from slow oscillation (blea) but have never heard of it being caused by bumps. Any chance his head is able to rest against hard plastic while you drive? That'd give me a headache and poor disposition.

Installed a hitch and wiring harness on my M3

Learn something new every day! I see posi-products have a weatherproof butt connector, but not a splice. I would be tempted to add a smidge of dielectric grease inside to prevent corrosion.

    Tesla Chat Support sucks...

Okay, that sucks. Let me buy you a drink. In a pandemic like this, of which we've never experienced before, uncertainty/insecurity are among the few things growing. The world will catch up as best it can. Take it easy, and stay safe!

Did you select your model 3 based on 70% battery life?

I wanted Tesla, but I also prefer anonymity much of the time. A Tesla Camry model 3 would nail it. My decision to go with the 3 was shaped by other EV mfgs warping their offerings to cover their lack of investment in battery tech. Leaf was out because their battery cooling/management is weak...

Has anyone replaced their 12V battery yet?

Do you mind telling us your 3's build date? I strongly suspect those who notice a difference with a lithium swap had borderline failing 12V batteries. From my searches many 2018 deliveries had drained (damaged) AGM batteries that wouldn't meet OEM spec or be adequate for audio needs. Those cars'...

Has anyone replaced their 12V battery yet?

Honest question: Is that accurate EE usage of "buss"? My amateur knowledge thought of it as meaning a direct physical linkage uninterrupted by other circuits, certainly by other decision making activity which would delay any response and be of little use for real-time audio reproduction needs...

Has anyone replaced their 12V battery yet?

These are still analog speakers? The amps convert the bits to analog which drives the speaker cones. Enough power must be available or we get clipping and distortion. That's an excellent writeup, thanks. And it's good to read his results. If true for all our premium systems then the stock amp...

How to get a Model 3 Performance Stealth / Sleeper

Yep, disappointing. Our P3- from 12/19 has track mode and was only $2k (plus the sport 19" wheels & tires so $3500 total). Trying to order a YP- last month was confusing, bumping into the full PUP cost. I called our salesman to confirm I wasn't doing something wrong. He was in complete agreement...

Has anyone replaced their 12V battery yet?

You guys need larger pictures. /s Seriously though, can you explain why not? I've yet to see the idea debunked beyond similar outright dismissal. I'd be fine if someone who knows the Tesla systems pointed out clear reasons using "a larger capacitor" to improve bass demands won't work. Maybe the...

Has anyone replaced their 12V battery yet?

Ah, of course. Should have noticed that. Our 3 is only 5mo old yet I'm tempted to switch to a Li-X battery just for the audio improvement (while my ears still function); the other benefits would be icing.

    Retrofit a tow hitch?

Hauling 2000lbs behind a car not rated for towing by mfgr in US would be easily detectable and will have an adverse effect on longevity. I agree it should be otherwise, but fighting against denied warranty coverage = FML. I'm not saying this won't be worked out, just that for me, with other tow...

    Retrofit a tow hitch?

Lights aren't my worry. "I'm not a lawyer" but afaik Tesla's UK/EU warranty policy has no bearing on if, when I visit a SC for a failed motor/battery and they notice the aftermarket 2" receiver. Want to buy a Model 3, insurance is crazy expensive

Buy the worst car you can stomach, with liability coverage only, and specify "for pleasure" (not work). Even if you just park it, barring incidents, your rates will drop. The time-to-discount varies by area, car, and company, but when it begins get your M3 quotes again. This reminds me of a...

    back camera cable broke

GPS still good? Have to ask. I had both go bad on my M3 - happened "magically" while parked 5 min at a grocery store - but Tesla was able to reset it remotely. First thing I did though was go through the cable harness like you. The symptoms were rear camera black (though reverse guide lines...

My GPS and rear camera went on the fritz, but the day Tesla replied to my report they reset something and voila, everything was happy again. Planning to Trade 2014 Pre-AP MS85 for 2020 M3 SR+ Inventory Car - Thoughts?

I'd have been ecstatic if a reset cleared the problem. Tried that 4 or 5 times over almost two weeks, even powered off over night twice. No joy. The car only recovered after Tesla checked things remotely, and they still want to replace something. I'll definitely inquire further at the SC.
