Does your Tesla app have the To/From Grid icon (looks like a power line)? That's what I use when it comes to understanding whether I am a net producer or consumer and all the other stuff (usage, solar production) then isn't part of the equation.

We had a third party install ours, and I went to the Tesla site and chose the manual addition option. I entered the info from my Tesla gateway and the PW showed in my app 10 minutes later (pre-inspection).
