Yup, buy back. Got the check about 6 weeks after I turned the car in. Ordered another one (because I’m crazy). Already in the car, so far so good.

The overall build just feels more solid. Otherwise, it’s practically the same. The new cameras are really good, roof definitely more visibility. But my main takeaway is just the general fit makes it feel like a different car.

Picked up yesterday, overall build was significantly better than my DEC21 car. This said I drove one block only to get every traction control warning on the planet. Drove back, straight in to service. Fixed in an hour (bad wheel hub sensor?). So far so good.

To be fair I never even set mine up on my last car.

They delayed my pick up to the 31st and never told me… So now I’m trying to ascertain what happened.

If they keep it with the "official" swap just order the part directly through service and keep both? It's not a hard swap to do on your own.

Delivery Monday.

Mines done, Plaid on the way… 3 months but my service manager was on leave for most of it.

New VIN 6855, Mar 10 build date. Good with that.

They have yet to release it… Luckily I have a friend looking out for me who gave me a heads up on the old VIN.

Released my VIN 3533. Apparently it was built in January or early Feb and the text chat has been pulling the wool over my head for a week.

I’m in a similar boat and no one can confirm anything for me.

I’ll see if I can get a computer while I’m on this trip. Will likely just pass on this VIN. To much BS with the switchover I don’t trust.

So my car was built some time in Feb, has anyone confirmed this comes with all of the updates? Or taken delivery of a similar build time car?

Can he check mine? Just want to make sure it has everything “updated” this go around.

Tesla won’t give me my build date, thinking of releasing the VIN to make sure I have everything. Not getting stuck second time around like I did with my DEC 21 build.

503xxx should I reconsider this? I can easily take another delay, the car isn’t imperative this month.

VIN, MSP Black/Black/Yoke… debating whether the yoke was a good choice, but I liked it on my LR for highway driving 🤷🏼‍♂️

I’m right here with you, two service visits a month since I bought the car in December 21. Just initiated contact with the service manager yesterday as the car is in for another 6 day stay this week. Do you mind telling me where in Florida you are?

LR has it at 45mph. SC says it’s a known issue with no fix.

That’s about what mine was until I futzed with it… I’ll ask the mobile tech on the 30th I presume.

Anyone else have a tapping / rattle from the B pillar at around 70-80mph? It’s incredibly annoying. Also as to the new console they put in my car. The lights are all backwards again.

That’s what I’m trying to figure out… I put in a service ticket just in case, but we shall see. At least the lights work the way they’re supposed to.

There was resistance from the magnets holding the center console arm rest down previously. Now there’s nothing but some soft rubber.

Tesla just replaced my center console due to the sliding mechanism failing… This said I’ve clearly received a newer part number than what had originally came on my car. I noticed the cup holders have little rubber nubs in them now. I did notice though there seems to be a lack of magnets...

It’s on my LR and very annoying. But not nearly as bad as all of the HVAC and AP issues I’m having… My tech says they’re aware of the issue but there’s no fix and they’ve been instructed not to swap the half shafts anymore.

I guess I would order another one. GMTV offered me even more than Tesla. Issue is I don’t know what else I would get right now.

Tesla just offered me more than I paid for a trade in… Considering it given my car has been with them once a month since December.

The appliqué is just some clips and double sided tape, the camera sits in the trunk lid so you’re good there.

Autopilot is completely non functional on 8.3 for me FYI. Tried reboots and even a camera calibration, no dice.

Different build maybe.

So are your lights on when the console is fully open?

I don’t think there are many of us on that software version yet.

It’s either missing the clips or simply isn’t clipped in. So give it a whirl, you won’t hurt it.

Check your window rubber. Mine was about an inch short of where it should have been and not in the track.

They just replaced my front right quarter glass for exactly that… the drivers side will get swapped on the next service visit. I also have wind noise from the top right of the drivers side window. They’ve been fine helping diagnose and somewhat fixing it.

Definitely coming from the door, drove around with the seats down and it was still there. Even tried the electrical tape on the latch. It was gone for 4 days after they replaced the panel, came back tonight for whatever reason.

Well the rattle in my rear door is back even after a full door trim replacement. I’m inches from selling this car, I can’t deal with another service center queen after my M3P spent 175 days there.

He showed me a car that was being prepped for delivery and it acted exactly the same way… I don’t know What the proper behavior is anymore.

They repinned mine so at least it’s not on while it’s closed… but now there’s no light when it’s fully open either 🤌
