If you want a hitch, then put on a hitch. I did and it’s been great for both towing and weekly use with a bike rack. 3 years and no issues. Life’s too short to worry about the small stuff.

The rollout continues. According to Teslafi, a M3 in Quebec received the update at 8:10am. Looks like most are upgrading from 2022.4.5.4 and 253 cars have that version in Canada.

I am seeing a 70% charging cost increase in my weekly London to Kingston trip. Yes, the cost of everything is going up but this is excessive.

Have you seen the price at Tesla Superchargers lately? A quick calculation shows a 70% increase with the new tiers.

Last winter was the first for my Eco hitch and I removed the receiver and replaced the cover. I also use it for a bike rack but don’t ride in the colder weather and thought the open hole would collect slush and dirt. The snows are on but I have yet to remove the receiver this year - later this week!

Most of my hitch use is for a bike rack but now and then towing the jet ski or utility trailer is desirable. I didn’t want to connect anything directly to the car wiring so I glued 2 photoresistors into small clear suction cups. Stick them on the car tail lights and drive 12 volt relays to...

The hitch from etrailer.com showed up on time and I installed it yesterday. Installation went really well and took about 2 hours. 2" receiver is removable although I don't find the look offensive.

Always a concern but my father-in-law’s Toyota Camry suffered exactly the same failure and while my daughter was driving it. Scary indeed.

Finally chose to order a hitch from etrailer.com, model 306-X7373. It should be delivered by the end of the month and they have an excellent installation video on their web site. I expect it should only take a couple of hours.

I am also very interested in a hitch for bike carrier purposes. The only Somewhat local installer I am aware of so far is Rack Attack in Toronto and the quote I received was over $1200. Hitch costs from the USA are as low as $265 USD.
