    Silverado EV

Kyle at Out of Spec has tested Silverado and the numbers solidly hold up. It's not even close compared to the other EV's including CT. It's a gargantuan battery with a truck stuck on top of it. So what, that Chevy loses 80k or so each truck it sells. Range, range range. It has me...

    Wiki Trailer-friendly Supercharger Locations

ABRP, once you enter the weight of your trailer, will select only chargers that are trailer friendly, I believe, once you click thru those chargers, it'll show you.

Tesla stopped supplying 12V power to the aux pin of the 7 way - Fixed!!!

It's a what if. Get a Honda generator and listen to it wail and hack away at the pristine quiet, or add more rooftop or portable solar plus a lot more than my 300w of lithium, or get an expensive power generator like a Jackery or an Ecoflow. I need to spend more time in the trailer to sort out...

Tesla stopped supplying 12V power to the aux pin of the 7 way - Fixed!!!

I missed this thread before getting the Curt wireless brake controller-- which works fine for higher speed braking but is, let's say crotchety and jerky below 5mph. I have a Tekonsha p3 I purchased but have not yet installed. Did we get a confirmation that we received 16volt refresh X power...

Tire Replacement Suggestions for 22' Model X Plaid

I took them back too for same. The Pirelli's howled when new, have now evened out, but do not track straight and shimmy a tiny bit when the yoke is planted straight on the highway. Most won't notice but it drives me crazy. And they are a little floaty. Has anyone tried the Falken's?

Charging Travel Trailer Battery from Tesla

Has anyone tried the Car Generator that hooks into a cars 12volt, into car generator, than plug the RV shore power cable into CarGenerator? In their website it says they work with full EV’s.

Charging Travel Trailer Battery from Tesla

It would be nice to get an update of using the 12v to charge the trailer, as well as the trailer connector, if anyone can comment on newer vehicles?

Any pro hitch installers to recommend for Burbank/San Fernando Valley/L.A. area?

I need to install a Drawtite hitch plus a brake controller and want a pro install so I don't clown it. Any suggestions in Burbank/L.A. area?

How many of you will/may transition to CyberTruck?

Just get the Rivian. They lose 30 to 60k per car they sell to you, so you can stick your tongue out at Elon because he wouldn't do the same.

How many of you will/may transition to CyberTruck?

How does 10,296 lb-ft of torque for the Beast, compare to your favorite gas wheezer truck? Are you a gas wheezer truck person? I'm just curious.

How many of you will/may transition to CyberTruck?

CT Beast is a stone-gas looker-- especially with black wrap. And just about as fast as Plaid except for that top end. I want it-- want it-- I want it. I'll either replace my Plaid X, or keep the X and Turo the CT or the X-- depending on which one I prefer. CT can tow most anything I will...

What do you think is causing the limited tow capability of the new Cybertruck?

You doctored your argument. The F250 was hiking up its front wheels before it stopped, just like CT. Get out of town.

    Supercharger - Burbank, CA - Victory Blvd (LIVE 28 Jun 2023, 24 V3 stalls)

Really? Faster? Than why didn't the Taycan destroy the model S Plaid in the cannonball run that Kyle Connor did with his team? Destroy like that? Whatever do you mean, because I'd love to hear what you're talking about?

    CCS Adapter for North America

the one useful time I've used it in the past year was in Big Bear where there are no Tesla Superchargers. I didn't need to, but wanted to see if it worked. I happened to had been in the area going for a walk, and plugged into the Chargepoint fast(75kw) charger, and was full when I came back...

Supercharger - Burbank, CA - E. Orange Grove Ave (site proposed, 28 V3 stalls)

I hope they're still planning this one. On weekends sometimes you can see all 3 chargers in Burbank full, even the 6 month old 24stall on Victory. But that supercharger at the mall down the street from my house is absolutely hideous. I dont think I've seen higher than 75kw speeds the last 3...

    CCS Adapter for North America

I got mine from China before they would sell them in the states. It's always worked fine. It's those chargers that suck ass.

Tire Replacement Suggestions for 22' Model X Plaid

I'm right with you on this. I'm thinking I want an even quieter tire than the oem Conti Silents, but need more performance, since these high speed bursts you describe are coming around more often lately and I can't replace 'down'. But I also love to ski, so... I may be the perfect candidate...

    Supercharger - Burbank, CA - Victory Blvd (LIVE 28 Jun 2023, 24 V3 stalls)

    Supercharger - Burbank, CA - Victory Blvd (LIVE 28 Jun 2023, 24 V3 stalls)

    Supercharger - Burbank, CA - Victory Blvd (LIVE 28 Jun 2023, 24 V3 stalls)

I charged on Thursday and it zinged up to 250kw pretty quickly. I had started at about 30% as well. I believe there were about 6-8 spots available, so it was more than half full.

Elon Considering Adding AirPlay to the Model S/X

For sure. A long time Tesla owner turned Benz owner has been like a hyena that he can listen to Atmos in his car. I believe we don't have the same amount of speakers as the EQS, but Tesla software should be able to translate. I would just love to be able to have native quality from the...

When traveling, do you bother with trying to find hotels with EV charging? Can you depend on them?

Level 1 chargers will only excacerbate range anxiety. I believe they hurt the EV effort. Towns and cities would install level 2 chargers thinking people can use them for travel, as well. They’re great if you work in the area. Otherwise unless your an almost useless plug-in hybrid, they are...

    Supercharger - Burbank, CA - Victory Blvd (LIVE 28 Jun 2023, 24 V3 stalls)

It’s showed up in my NAV, but had shown it as busy. I would drive there anyway and see about 6 or 7 stalls operational and the rest taped off. I’d charge anyway successfully and I was never alone doing so. Recently the NAV shows the stalls that are down and that it is operational. There is...

    Supercharger - Burbank, CA - Victory Blvd (LIVE 28 Jun 2023, 24 V3 stalls)

This new charger today shows as under maintenance in the NaV. Since it’s so close to home i stopped by there to see yellow tape on all but about 5 or 6 chargers. One guy was charging just fine and i plugged in to one of the non-taped chargers to check and got about 200kw speeds.

    Lacking confidence at speed

I don’t have summer tires but have had my XP up to 165 with 20’s– though it briefly charged hard up to 167 before easing back down to 165. Straight line of course. It would be interesting if they made the track package available for the Model X Plaid. I’d go for it.

Supercharger - Glendale, CA - N Glendale Ave (under construction Aug 2023, 16 stalls)

The contractor for this Glendale Fashion Center site called me today regarding the brand new 26 stall(of 3) in Burbank. He said once they started construction, it would only take them about 2 months to finish this Glendale location.

    Supercharger - Burbank, CA - Victory Blvd (LIVE 28 Jun 2023, 24 V3 stalls)

I ended up calling both numbers that day you posted this. Not sure if this was the impetus to grease the skids but, boom. Victory was on and working the next day. Out of those phone calls, a contractor for Tesla called me today to let me know it was on line today, but obviously i already knew...

    Supercharger - Burbank, CA - Victory Blvd (LIVE 28 Jun 2023, 24 V3 stalls)

Charged here tonight. App knows it’s there, but NAV does not yet. App can’t even send the location to the car successfully. There are spots that are Cybertruck and Hummer sized. There are no pull thrus, but a couple of stalls, one can pull in with a trailer, and not block anything. This is...

    Supercharger - Burbank, CA - Victory Blvd (LIVE 28 Jun 2023, 24 V3 stalls)

They need to open this site sooner rather than later. This morning both San Fernando and the 1st Street mall chargers were full, just like last night. I'm assuming they are waiting on the city of Burbank whom slows everything down. If I could call someone in the city administration to grease...

I have to put the suspension in low, whenever i need to punch up some high speed bursts. Again, tires make all the difference. The 2019 doesn’t have torque vectoring like Plaid tho, so…

When traveling, do you bother with trying to find hotels with EV charging? Can you depend on them?

I always look for charging at a hotel, because waking up to 100% is the best feeling, even better than doing it from home. I check for where chargers are around in case they aren't working or busy. But hotel night charging is the best, especially if the valet maintains the charging. Airport...
