Just curious, what is your max range (miles) at 100% battery charge? I have just about the same number of miles as you and max range has dropped from 303 miles down to about 270 miles over 1 year which seems to be significant. I also have 19” tsportline wheels.
I noticed if I zoom out, it doesn’t show vehicles in my lane directly behind me, only in the adjacent lanes behind. Does anyone else experience the same thing?
Yeah, I was just comparing to other cars heated steering wheels I’ve driven where they stay hotter/warmer more consistently. Even the Tesla seat heaters seem to do a better job of keeping the seat warm…
Thanks. Just to confirm we are experiencing the same thing. After the initial toasty hot part, it will seem to almost turn off sections where parts of the steering wheel are luke warm and others seem have heater turned off. After awhile the sections that were seemingly off will warm back up...
Yeah, I’ve noticed this as well. Most cars I’ve been in the steering wheel stays warm / hot the entire time. Have you asked Tesla service if this is an issue? It seems like it’s heating up initially to overcome any cold temps and then it just keeps it barely warm.
I swapped tires right away after delivery so I didn’t get a chance to check if the wh/mile changed. Do you think the efficiency is hard coded differently for the performance model vs LR AWD and therefore I will never see 326 miles for 100% charge? Just want to make sure I don’t have a battery...
Hi,
I have a 2021 Performance Model Y and replaced factory 21” Wheels with 19” Wheels from T-sportsline. I changed the wheel size settings in the car to 19” Gemini and rebooted. It still shows max range is approx 300 miles at 100% charge on the battery meter. Should that now have updated to...
Hi,
Just curious...What was the circumstances when you hear the whining noise? What speeds? Was it when you were driving without load (cruising)? Also, did they try to tell you it was normal on your first visit? What did you have to do to convince them it was not normal and needed to be...
Hey, quick one. I have heated steering wheel in my Model Y. When I first start up car and turn on the heated steering wheel, it gets nice and toasty very quickly. However, after a few minutes it seems to turn off and steering wheel temp goes back to normal like it’s not on. Then a few mins...
Thanks. I see many people discussing talking to their rep and getting details on build date, etc. so assume there must be a way to get in touch with someone.
Hi,
I noticed an update in my Tesla Account with VIN and delivery window starting second half of next week. I haven’t heard from Tesla Sales Rep yet. How do I proactively get a hold of a Sales Rep to ask questions about build date / configuration, etc. Shouldn’t someone have reached out by...
Hi,
Today my streaming radio service stopped working and I can’t get I to connect to the service. I have an option to use Tesla Account to login in but it just spins and nothing happens. Does anybody know if the service is down? Is there someone I can contact about this? I tried a reboot and...
Are you sending Lemon Law notice or something different? Who do you contact to do this? I hear some people try for buyback the non legal approach first.
Yeah, so I’ve never navigated to a super charger but did today and noticed the exact same sound so agree it must be to generate heat for battery. It’s really loud and annoying but I’m assuming it’s intentional based on your feedback.
Here’s what I notice (I took a short video clip which is hard to hear if you find my second posting in this thread above)...Let’s say I’m driving on the highway going 65MPH and the battery pack is still cold and regen reduced, when I let go of the accelerator pedal to slow down as I approach my...
For me, it’s always been loud and doesn’t sound quite right, but it’s much worse with colder temps and reduced regen. Is this normal under these conditions?
Yup, agreed. Just wanted to check what others experiences are now that it’s colder out before I go through the hassle of bringing it into an SC. I wonder if mobile service could do a first pass check on it?
I can’t tell if it’s mechanical or not. It’s a high pitch whine and doesn’t sound like it should be normal. I’d expect reduced braking when cold without the noise being present.
Hi Everyone,
I was wondering what your experiences are with regen braking noise in your Model Y? I have always felt mine was louder than normal, but now that's it's cold out, I've noticed that it produces a high pitched squealing sound when slowing down, especially at higher speeds. Since...
How did you go about initiating the buy back? Is this something you worked through with Service or Sales? I've been experiencing a multitude of issues and about ready to go the same route you did...How does the buyback work? Is it essentially a swap or they reimburse you and then you buy a...
I saw on another post that you were able to get Tesla to buy back your Model Y and provide a new one? I have had many of the same issues you experienced and also took delivery early during COVID where there appears to be a significant higher number of quality issues with the Model Y just...
Oh, that’s not cool. In my experience, you have to be listening to music for awhile for the issue to happen. Sounds like they aren’t going to acknowledge the issue and didn’t mention it as being a known or common?
Without the hub, what do you recommend is the best way to get power to the Jeda wireless charger? The cables they provide both come with USB-A male connectors. I noticed the Tesla OEM wireless charger plugged into the USB-C port on the Model Y. How do I get max power to both sides of the Jeda...
I’m having a hard time reproducing consistently. Will have to find a good example song that causes the volume drop issue in case I need to bring it into an SC to investigate.
Do you have a good song example where it’s happening? Would like try the same song in my car. Slacker streaming or Apple Music through Bluetooth? I don’t have Spotify.
I have this issue as well! Did you check with Tesla Service to see if it’s a defective unit and/or if it’s been resolved in newer builds? Any luck finding a resolution?
I don't see how the normal is no Motor whine and yet they could somehow claim motor whine present is "Within Spec". That's a pretty convenient Engineering Spec. I hope they have tighter tolerances on their specs on the Space X side.
Have you seen this video? Could make sense that motor noises are indeed normal, but you shouldn't hear them with proper insulation keeping the noises out of the cabin. Just saying...
