    Traffic aware cruise control behavior

I really miss this too. Have it on my Mercedes.

    Traffic aware cruise control behavior

For me it does not accelerate properly to follow the car in front in slow speeds, leaving a huge gap that is annoying the hell out of me and the cars behind me. This was perfect before, now it is unusable to me after one of the software updates. I really hope they revert this insanely relaxed...

Still Amazed at how bad regular AP/ACC is after 5 months

I have the exact same behavior on my 2019 M3P, with radar. It was perfect with consistent following distance, then completely broken in a software update. I cannot use TACC at all anymore with that slow acceleration. I find the stopping is fine, only the huge gap in front is my problem...

2022.4.5 promises non vomit inducing AP stop and go driving in the release notes. But it seems the same to me, am I missing something?

For me the TACC is now completely unusable because it accelerates too slow. Now it leaves a huge gap when the car in front accelerates, and takes many seconds before following properly. People behind me get annoyed, blinking and passing me. So I have to turn it off and drive manually. Completely...

    Slow Acceleration on highway

The way it was was exactly as I liked it. Now TACC is completely broken for me. I guess this shows that it should be configurable, or use the new slow way in Chill mode and the old way in Sport.

    Slow Acceleration on highway

I have the exact same behavior. Essentially Autopilot is broken for me now, when I have to actively use the accelerator pedal anyhow because of this. It has come in a firmware update, as it was previously nearly perfect, with immediate following and nearly constant following distance. I guess...

Trying to play mp3's without the 400 bugs and hurdles Tesla throws at you...

Tank you for the information that this is a known bug. It saved me a lot of unfruitful troubleshooting :-)

Trying to play mp3's without the 400 bugs and hurdles Tesla throws at you...

When I formatted the 1TB SSD from Ubuntu as ext4 and then, still on Ubuntu, copied the music collection from the master disk (NTFS) to the newly formatted ext4 drive, the car did not detect any music at all. To check if limited access rights was the problem, I did set it to 666 and 777 (maximum...

Trying to play mp3's without the 400 bugs and hurdles Tesla throws at you...

Greetings from Norway :) I did not understand what happened for you 12 days ago...transition from spinning disk to SSD and thereby getting rid of the problem? Anyhow, I had the same problem with the 1TB SSD I got, still using exFAT. No resume when in deep sleep. Since then I formatted the...

Trying to play mp3's without the 400 bugs and hurdles Tesla throws at you...

I'm not a Mac user, but I assume that you are using the Apple Music program to do the conversion, and as I understand, some of the converted mp3's do not show up in your Model 3? The first thing I would check is that the "invisible" mp3's play fine on your computer, and that they have valid ID3...

I will try ext4 on my SSD and post the result here if it actually makes a difference. Installed Ubuntu on an old laptop to be used for transferring music.

Trying to play mp3's without the 400 bugs and hurdles Tesla throws at you...

I have distributed the albums into perhaps 10 larger folders, one for flac 16 bit, one for flac 24 bit, one for mp3 320, one for mp3 assorted, plus that I add a new folder each time I add music to the drive, instead of adding to existing folders. This makes it easier to do version control and...

Trying to play mp3's without the 400 bugs and hurdles Tesla throws at you...

No improvements with the Samsung Evo Plus 1TB SSD (2.5" in a USB 3.1 enclosure, not sure about the controller chip) compared to the Toshiba 2TB rotating disk in a Toshiba enclosure. My theory was that the spinning disk was so slow to spin up and connect that the M3 timed out waiting, but it is...

Trying to play mp3's without the 400 bugs and hurdles Tesla throws at you...

I see the enclosure you linked to is unavailable, and I find it quite a tiresome and expensive task to buy a lot of enclosures and disks to find a combination that works well with the usb controller chip in the M3. If this is really a timeout problem, I wish they could increase that timeout to...

Trying to play mp3's without the 400 bugs and hurdles Tesla throws at you...

In my experience this does not matter at all. I have a lot of folders with mostly "Artist - Album" syntax in a few folders with names like "flac-16bit","flac-24bit", "mp3-320" and so on. It seems the folder structure is completely ignored, only the ID3 tags inside the music files are used. Great...

Trying to play mp3's without the 400 bugs and hurdles Tesla throws at you...

I am in the same position. I have a 1TB SSD of mostly flacs, and everything is working elegantly without any problems *EXCEPT* that unless I wake the car up before entering, it seems to time out detecting the USB drive and fails in resuming playback. Mighty annoying at times. In the winter this...

Model 3 - Resuming audio playback on USB

It seems to me that it is simply a longer timeout that is needed before giving up resuming from USB. It takes many seconds for the USB icon to appear on the screen after opening a sleeping car, and probably it is the unavailability of connected USB devices that causes it to give up resuming...

Trying to play mp3's without the 400 bugs and hurdles Tesla throws at you...

Have you tried using exFAT? I have not used ext4 myself, but as exFAT is working perfectly for me I think it can be worth a try. Also, does it rescan the drive also if you have woken the car up for example by turning on the AC in the app a minute before? I have for the last 7 months had a 2 TB...

Cruise Control not available. Almost daily.

I got this problem today for the first time. M3 2019-09 with HW3.0 and firmware 2020.36.10, driven 11k km. I drove with curise control for about 70km in dense traffic, sat waiting in the car for 2 hours in camp mode in the rain. Then when driving back, cruise control would not activate and the...

Will The Revolutionary Tesla Windshield Wiper Debut On The Cybertruck?

A sliding rail below the window is prone to get filled with ice and snow. I do not think this will work reliably in colder climates.

    Button to open charge port

Sorry for a very late response, the notification must have been lost in the garbage mail. I will make sure it does not happen again. If you are familiar with Arduino it is not very much work. I use and Arduino Nano ($4) plus transmitter ($2) and this library for sending the RF signal when the...

    Button to open charge port

No, that is not possible through RF. I believed so when I built this, but it is not the case. The "unlock cable" signal seems to go through wires. I am not sure if it goes to the charger eelctronics through the cable or directly to the car through the plug. I missed the "unlock cable"...

Most requested features/options/improvements for the Model 3?

Many good wishes in this thread. For the hardware part my top wishes are: Framed doors (wind noise is excessive compared to my old Mercedes E class) Better noise insulation in general for highway speeds Heated steering wheel For the software this is what I hope to find in a not too distant...

    Button to open charge port

Arduino charge door opener I needed a charge door opener for my Tesla when I use a non-Tesla cable, so I used an Arduino with a STX882 transmitter to build this into my wall charge plug holder. When pulling out the charge plug from the holder, the charge door opens. The hardware cost is perhaps...
