UK and Ireland Marketplace - For Sale / Wanted / Free

Tyres for sale. 2x 235/35/20 Michelin PS4S TO (the Tesla spec version, with the foam lining) removed from my Model 3P. 5mm tread on each, worn evenly with no repairs. I'd like £100 for the pair, collected from Wolverhampton. Thanks.

Questions about selling my SR+ (70 plate)

I too can vouch for selling a car via S Jones LTD. I sold my M3P via Simon about a month ago. I got a top price for the car and the service I recieved was spot on.

Anyone fancy these? A fantastic (and much needed) upgrade for the M3P!

    Thinking of Selling Up....

Well, it's gone and will be missed. But on a plus point, I now have a load of performance suspension parts for sale (the car was sold as standard) - so please give me a shout if you'd like your M3P to ride and handle like it always should have :)

    Thinking of Selling Up....

I've finally decided that it's time to (try to) sell up. I've entrusted the sale to Simon Jones down in Dorset - thanks for the tip HKP_Tom - so we'll see how it goes. I'll certainly miss it when it's gone, that's for sure!

    Thinking of Selling Up....

I must admit, the mods weren't worth it from a resale perspective, but have dramatically improved the car. It really is the car it should have always been. It is sad, and maybe it's just me being overly protective of the car. I'm hyper aware that, being red, any paintwork repairs would be a...

    Thinking of Selling Up....

Insurance wasn't a problem. I'm with LV and the declared mods added £70 to a previously paid up premium, and would account for about £120 over the whole year.

    M3P Brakes

I've experienced something similar before, it was corrosion building up between the disk and pad. I turned off the regen and drove it a couple of miles. Using the brakes cleaned them off, the noise went away and I repeat the process every week or so.

    Thinking of Selling Up....

Yeah, i get what you're saying My next car won't be anything interesting. The 3 was my first 'nice' car and I absolutely love it, but I avoid taking it places and worry about it getting damaged or vandalised - so if I sold it I'd go back to old bangers that I can run in to the ground without...

    Thinking of Selling Up....

Ah okay, thanks for the input guys. I've had luck with advertising on Pistonheads before. Do you think the modifications made to the car will put people off? I know there's a bit of a stigma attached to modified cars.

    Thinking of Selling Up....

Hi all, I'm thinking of selling up, and was hoping for some opinions on the valuation. My car is a 2019 (69) 3P, with performance pack (when it was available separately at the time) 25k miles, in Red with white interior. It's not long had 4 new tyres, has had a £2500 PPF and cermaic coat...

    Hansshow Ambient Lighting

I was actually really interested in the light kit and hoped that the guy plugging them would reappear with some useful information, but he didn't and I cant find the item on their website now so maybe they've discontinued them?

I live in hope that eventually there'll be a purchasable upgrade for the P, too.

    Hansshow Ambient Lighting

Interesting, but the website gives very little actual detail. The pictures appear to show that it's controlled via buttons added to the centre console. Does this kit come with a replacement centre console panel? If so, is it the same finish and quality as the original? Or is it just a panel...

So What Do We Think Of The Polestar 2?

I'd be amazed if there wasn't a level 3 update. Surely Volvo uses this tech in their cars?

So What Do We Think Of The Polestar 2?

You're right, and you get it with anything. The issue is when opinion is presented as fact. People also often cite a Tesla owner's positive opinion of their car is because they own a Tesla, and completely overlook the potential that someone may have chosen to buy a specific car with their own...

So What Do We Think Of The Polestar 2?

I've followed a thread about the Polestar on Pistonheads, which is generally very anti Tesla and whose forum typically attracts a large proportion of the Internet's tossers and motoring bores. And a lot of people have a lot to say about the Polestar, the Tesla and EVs in general. What no one...

So What Do We Think Of The Polestar 2?

If it wasn't for Tesla's charging network, I may well have held out for one of these over my M3P.

    Curb Rash

No, I left the profile at 35. A 30 profile would be too low on a 245 section tyre. The wheels on the P seem to be made from cheese as it is. My reason for doing so was having damaged two tyres in a pothole. I think I was lucky to have not buckled the wheels, and was looking to mitigate this...

    Curb Rash

When it comes to replacing your tyres, using a wider tyre may help. I replaced my original 235 width tyres with 245, and the Goodyear Eagles have a slight lip to protect the wheel.

    Model 3 performance handling

Sure. I was looking to improve both the ride and the handling characteristics of the car, without wishing to focus specifically on either. To this end I fitted: MPP Comfort Coilovers MPP Front Lower Control Arm Bushes MPP rear camber and toe arms Eibach Anti Roll Bars I did a short review of...

    Model 3 performance handling

There are plenty of suspension options out there. Suspension modifications have dramatically improved my P, at a cost of about £3k. To me, it was worth it.

    P- suspension options

To be honest, and despite me now having boxes of excess car parts that I could do with moving on, the new set up is a huge upgrade over the original P suspension. I had to think long and hard before deciding to upgrade the suspension, the parts aren't cheap and I didn't want to be disappointed...

    P- suspension options

Litchfield locked the sensors in place. They did comment that they could make some brackets, should I require them to. I would have done so had the Fabricator been there that day, and I'll probably do so should I be there for anything in the future.
  31. U

    P- suspension options

Oh and I also have a full set of springs, dampers and anti roll bars from my Performance, should anyone be considering a cost effect upgrade for an AWD model ;-D
  32. U

    P- suspension options

Bit of an update. Apologies for the delay, but I wanted to put a few miles on the suspension before I made comment on it. I had the suspension fitted last Friday. Litchfield did a good job of the fitting, and bar the ride height being set a bit too low, everything went smoothly. Litchfield...

    P- suspension options

Maybe give them a try at 45psi and see how they feel? I found increasing to 45psi (from 42) resulted in a slightly firmer but less harsh ride, but this was on 20" wheels.

    Own vs Lease?

You're not wrong. As with anything tech related, things move quite quickly and what is now cutting edge will soon be superseded. But it's still a car and if it suits your needs now, there's no reason why it wouldn't continue to do so for a long time.

    P- suspension options

Eibach anti roll bars are now available in the UK. I'll be fitting some on Friday.

    DIY ambient lighting

That looks really good. Can they be operated using the screen? Or do they light up when you open the car and then dim down once you select drive? Thanks.

That's a very useful review, thank you. I guess the Vendor knows they're selling tat, and is just relying on customers not doing much about it.

It might also be worth seeking out an OE Performance rear anti roll bar. Apparently they're thicker than the AWD one.
  41. U

    P- suspension options

I guess it depends on how much you're looking to shell out? Decent aftermarket coilovers are expensive, whereas OE P suspension wouldn't cost much. I'll be able to give you a direct comparison of the OE Performance suspenion and MPP's Comfort Coilovers next Friday, but that wouldn't really...

    performance upgrade $$$$$ 1 sec

I would always tick the box for quicker acceleration if it was available, especially if it meant more torque at higher speeds. Unfortunately I think the next significant performance boost for the 3 will be with the next battery iteration.

245/35/20 95 load rating vs oem 235/35/20 92 load rating

The 245 section tyre will have a slightly taller side wall than the 235, this will help. Also, the higher load index will assist the suspension absorbing more of an impact prior to the tyre taking the hit. I have very literally just changed to a 245/35 95 tyre for the same reasons. It will all...

P3D Add performance checkbox removes on new custom orders

Yeah it did. In the UK, the P was offered as the 'stealth' version, with the larger wheels, spoiler etc offered as a "performance pack" upgrade. The option was then dropped when the LR AWD car was reintroduced.
