    WTB: 2021-2022 Model S Refresh

I'm looking for one in the 50k range, as well. I suspect even low mileage ones will be there soon. With Project Highland around the corner, I have a weird feeling a lot of people are going to drop their model s interest and get into a new model 3. By the Fall time, low mileage model s...

Model Y has anyone received 2023 VIN yet?

PF5871 - Not sure what their logic is for putting the matrix on... I have a 7 seater... but I think i've seen other 7 seaters with matrix.

Model Y has anyone received 2023 VIN yet?

What wheel covers are those? I see those on Ebay/Amazon but I'm struggling with just buying a particular set because they all look alike. Yours look good!

95+ score and no FSD Beta today?

Maybe I tricked the system... but this might be worth a try because it worked for me and I had a 93 Safety Score and just got beta a few days ago: - opt out of beta - your safety score should continue to show up in the app on your phone but for the following days, your score shouldn't be...

    Other cars with autopilot/FSD

When we had our ID.4, i always thought the VW Travel Assist was better than Tesla Autopilot. All ID.4s have Travel Assist, even some higher trim ICE VWs

Advice on how much to charge?

I listed my 2018 Blue/White Model 3 Performance on Facebook Market place with 25,500 miles, FSD, mint condition, ceramic coat, no accidents, second owner for $53,500 and had a full offer in two weeks. I decided to decline the offer because I honestly don't know what I would be happy with other...

2018 Model 3 Performance - Blue/White, FSD, plus other upgrades

Not much interest - maybe a couple grand more than what folks want to pay for it, maybe not enough pictures... im not entirely sure. But, I've decided that I am going to keep the car because I don't know what I would be happy replacing it with. Looking forward to using FSD... one of these...

    OFFICIAL BUTTON WATCH

I think you're actually 100% correct here - its the follow distance settings (i don't know honestly what else to contribute it to and have really thought about others comments about it). I keep it at 2, so I don't constantly get cut off in traffic. Its going to pain me but I'm going to try and...

    OFFICIAL BUTTON WATCH

Yes - I understand what you're saying but I'm saying these are outright hard decelerations out of nowhere. I have slammed the brakes a few times for deer and to try the BBK out... very aware of the difference between phantom braking and gradual Autopilot braking.

    OFFICIAL BUTTON WATCH

I drive a lot, all over the NorthEast, up i95, NY State throughway, NJ Turnpike, Mass Pike, etc. The number of times I've been brake checked by a Tesla (assuming Autopilot is on) is not something unusual to observe. My car probably randomly SLAMS its brakes on the highway once every 500...

Yep, exactly. Schedule the retrofit in the app.

    Anyone got HW3 retrofit yet?

My mobile service tech told me that in Northern Virginia, they are unable to to HW3.0 retrofits for Model S and X via the mobile service. The tech was able to do my HW3.0 retrofit on my Model 3 flawlessly.

    Teslacam captures the idiot drivers...

Hard to tell for sure but it looks like you were sitting in the left lane (passing lane) for a while... I hate seeing that from other cars.
  24. tjkenny15

Price for basic autopilot to $2k

I think it all depends on how long you intend to keep the car. I think $2000 for AP can easily be added to the value of the car, in case you were to sell it someday. If I were on the used market looking for a Tesla, I would not be considering a Tesla that didn't at least have AP. Just food...

FSD price to be reduced to $3K for EAP owners

I'm afraid if I didn't go for it, I would never be able to access FSD unless I paid out of pocket for the HW3 (who knows what Tesla charges for just HW3???). If/when FSD comes as a subscription, I would not be able to take advantage of it with HW2.5. So, in my head, $3k right now just made...

FSD price to be reduced to $3K for EAP owners

I think I am going to take the plunge - I'm glad I looked one last time at the 'Upgrades' section of the app or I would have missed this. For some reason, I was not interested at $4000, but now I am at $3000. I am just enough interested to pull the trigger. My thoughts are, if I don't upgrade...

Missing my ICE car. . .

Well... its all relative. Yes, a 2002 is way more analog than an e46 m3 - you got me there!

Uneven Re-gen Braking Feel on P3D+

Lol I let you develop the scientific experiment. Do you still have the Bolt? I just drove the Bolt 50 miles yesterday and my Tesla M3P about 90 miles today and would STILL say the opposite of what you're saying. Maybe my experience is different than yours because I have a Performance model, IDK
  30. tjkenny15

Uneven Re-gen Braking Feel on P3D+

Yeah, like I said, that has never been my experience, but to each their own.
  31. tjkenny15

Uneven Re-gen Braking Feel on P3D+

Interesting, I don't feel the same. I think the Bolt is super forgiving and not abrupt at all. The Bolt also has hold mode when in Low, which is great for around town.
  32. tjkenny15

Uneven Re-gen Braking Feel on P3D+

I agree OP - I like the Regen on my wife Bolt MUCH better than my PM3. Its definitely not as predictable. I'm hoping Tesla will tweak it a bit in a software update. FYI - I have played around with the re-gen settings. I think the 2nd gen Leaf has better re-gen too.
  33. tjkenny15

Missing my ICE car. . .

EXACTLY why I've kept my e46 m3 throughout the years. The Performance 3 is such a technological beast and is beautiful because of it. The E46 m3 is one of the most Analog cars ever made and rowing through the gears on a nice sunny day is just a different level of special. Find your old car...

Experiences with Auto Lane Change (Safe? Risky?)

I have checked the lane change settings - i don't mind Mad Max in heavy traffic, but on the highway doing about 65-80mph I found Mad Max a bit annoying. Maybe I will just need to toggle between the settings to smooth it out. I wish there was a highway speed setting and a traffic setting.

Experiences with Auto Lane Change (Safe? Risky?)

I have EAP on HW2.5 - is there any reason to believe that with HW3 this feature will be smoother or more confident?

    Full Self Drive Upgrade

I just bought my Deep Blue 2018 Model 3 Performance - was owned by a guy in Florida, nonetheless. I've been driving it for about a week or so (coming from a 2017 Chevy Volt) and I don't know what I would replace it with after 5 years (I say this now). Its an absolute monster and so glad I took...

Thanks, I didn't think to look at Elon's twitter lol. More time to think this over. Currently have Enhanced Autopilot.. really want the FSD

    Full Self Drive Upgrade

So is FSD actually going to be an additional $1000 starting next month?? I have EAP and for $4k... that upgrade to hw3 and FSD is tempting. Just dont know what to do. Thoughts?
  46. tjkenny15

    Upgrade to FSD $4,000

Bumping this - just bought a 2018 Performance Model 3 and it has Enhanced Autopilot. 2.5 HW. Am I correct with assuming the $4k figure will increase to $5k next month, or is that $1k increase just of folks that have standard Autopilot?
