I have the exact same problem. Tesla customer service advised me to make the off peak “all week” instead of “weekdays” so it won’t have problems on Friday night. But it does mean if you want to charge during day time on weekends you have to manually start charging.

Thanks! The problem character is Unicode U+29D5A and any names with this will cause the problem. I suspect there are more problem characters that haven't been found yet.

Perhaps try disabling walkaway auto-lock to see if it stops this from happening? Or try partially closing the driver's door to make the car think the door is open?
