    Model Year 2022 Refresh M3/MY

You are right, it is a question of compromise. Some new tire compounds are I think better balanced and well adapted to electric vehicles.

    Model Year 2022 Refresh M3/MY

Just to give a measure, I would say that it is possible to increase the distance by about 5 % (only rolling resistance). Michelin with E-Primacy gives 7%.

    Model Year 2022 Refresh M3/MY

Yes it think so, not only rims , tires as well mainly (?) . In particular rolling resistance beetween Pirelli P0 Elec and Michelin Pilot Sport4.

Never seen this pack reference 1137377-01-P before. Could it be a LG E5LD ( instead of Panasonic E3LD 1104423-00-T) ? Perhaps first one on TM3P ? 🙂 What kind of problem did you have with the battery pack that was replaced ?

MASTER THREAD: 2021 Model 3 - Charge data, battery discussion etc

Same for others country in Europe. It could be LG E5L pack instead of Panasonic E3L. More information here : https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/posts/6079204/

    2021 Model 3 and differences from 2020

Yes I totally agree, thank you. In addition in this information, there is confirmation for the LR that 614wltp was only in anticipation of the LG 5L pack. On the other hand it is mentioned 636wltp for the LR with 3L pack, had there not been seen some CoC at 640wltp at the beginning (before...

    2021 Model 3 and differences from 2020

On Tesla french configurator, and german too, (and probably others), range of Model3 Performance has just been modified to 547km estimated instead of 567WLTP! One explanation would be that the TM3P Q1 2022 in Europe would have the LG "82" (5L) pack... no ?

Model 3 Tires, Tire Sizes, Types, make / model recommendations, tire discussions, etc

It does not surprise me, the Vredestein Quatrac PRO is not a sport tyre, but a comfort oriented tyre. Even if it can go to very high speeds, I think that the tyre is not rigid enough and that the rubber is not designed for accelerations at the level of the TM3P. On the paper, Michelin Pilot...

As I mention above, but maybe I m not clear : On TM3P, since Q1 2021 (included), I only found 00-T. And before Q1 2021, I had only found one case of 00-T at the end of Q4 2020 ( Arnaudc06's) all the others were 0L-P. To put it another way, on my side, since end Q4 2021, I have not found any...

  15. FredMt

MASTER THREAD: 2021 Model 3 - Charge data, battery discussion etc

    My understanding is that : - 00-T is Panasonic 2170L signature, for M3P 2021, LR 2021 (Q2 2021), even for SR+ 2021 (Q1 2021). ( It is supposed that for TM3P 2021 end Q4 2020, 2170L is as well include in 0L-P pack to be compliant with 567km WLTP. MASTER THREAD: 2021 Model 3 - Charge data...

MASTER THREAD: 2021 Model 3 - Charge data, battery discussion etc

And why 614 WLTP couldn't simply be the WLTP value of the 77.8kWh LR pack, in consistency of what is currently displayed on the US site in EPA. And so take into account 82kWh pack, like in CoC would be to come on web site US and EU. A value of 568 km EPA with a ratio of 1.08 (*) gives ~ 613.5...

For LR Model3 2021 is more efficient, i hope 😀 now typical consumption for LR 2021 is 137Wh/km so with 74,5kWh you have about 543km. In Europe homologation is 580km WLTP.

In fact, it is just to fit to the capacity of the LG pack (74.5 kWh) installed in LRs in Europe, in parallel of the Panasonic pack. As the Panasonic has a bit too much (77.8 kWh), it s artificially adjusted to the size of the LG. This is a parculiarity of the European market. In Europe we use...

Tesla go on to migrate Panasonic chains from 2170 to 2170L. so there will be as many 2170L at the end as there were 2170. Then, the SR +, at least European, should I think switch back to LFP. There will also be a part of the LR based the LG pack. So, in terms of 2170L quantity it seems that this...

    2021 Model 3 and differences from 2020

Yes, E3LD exist on paper but capacity, real capacity available for range is not confirm... there is a risk that for Europe this pack 2170L "82" kWh be softlock at LG level like it s actually the case with E3CD. Perhaps to a little more LG capacity but softlock... I'm afaid of it.

If I'm not mistaken, LG cells in Hyundai Kona battery pack are prismatic and NCM622 chemistry and LG cells in model3 battery pack are cylindric and NCM811 chemistry. Tesla's and Hyundai's BMS are probably quite different. So, i would say that Tesla has no reason to be concerned by the problem...
