No issues with manufacturing in China or Taiwan. Hell the majority of the parts in Tesla's are now made in China. Both countries are making solid forged wheels nowadays (a lot of times with better aluminum). My point was buyers beware: -Websites with ONLY e-mails or contact forms -No phone...

    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

Had these on an old old early 2018. T Sportline 19x95+35. Vehicle was NOT lowering in photo. Stance was pretty flush. Another 2mm (9.5+33) wouldn't poke, 5mm (9.5+30) likely would poke.

Model 3 Instrument Cluster - Tsportline

They (Hansshow) don't want to put them on a site because theyr'e not the actual manufacturer. They're a reseller and have done a decent job at marketing to North American buyers. This would allow other buyers that didn't buy directly from them an easy way to update (and I don't think they want...

tesla claims 21" Uberturbines reduce avg range ~10%. I agree with @Tonedog77 5-15 miles, maybe up to ~20 depending on the type of 255/45/19 tires.

Not sure what sort of tire you'd put on the front (if a 21x10.5+25 even fits without hitting inner suspension). I've seen an owner on a Model Y FB group run a 20x10+40 front and rear with a 275/40/20 front and a 315/35/20 rear. Looks nice and beefy. Probably kills range with all that rubber on...

Your front/wheel tire assembly is going to move 3mm inwards from stock 22" Turbine wheel assembly. "Should be OK" assuming you don't lower the car beyond stock, but check with a specialist. I went 10-15mm moving the tire/wheel assembly outwards on a 9.0" wheel with 265/35/22 tire, which is a...

New Snow Tires and TPMS fault

@mrbloons @MarioG ... I've been told by a couple Tesla service techs the new bluetooth sensors are a little wonky. They're hit or miss really. Service Centers should have a "bluetooth wand" that they can wave near the wheel/tire assembly to "wake" the sensor up. If "waking" the BT sensor...

"TSportline" Buyer beware! Update: Tire service confirms irregular tire sound. Escalated to Michelin

How do you know that the Falken tire you purchased potentially isn't just an inherently noisy tire? Falkens have improved a lot since the FK-452 days, but they're not a Pilot Sport 4S TO when it comes to level of noise. I'm no tire guru , but I've owned a lot of different manufacture tire...

    19 inch Aftermarket Wheels

@Hunter_91 1. While I believe you may lose handling and drivability on an 8.5" width wheel, I've always like this site: www.willtheyfit.com 2. +10mm offset to the outside doesn't change a whole lot from a daily driving driveability and handling standpoint. ie. 19x9.5+45 ---> 19x9.5+35 will...

Will 18” aero wheels fit on the Model Y?

Not sure how you got better snow traction and more range. Your proposed tire size rotates 753x per mile. The factory 255/45/19 rotates 742x per mile. Wouldn't more rotations per mile take more energy?

Will 18” aero wheels fit on the Model Y?

Except that size (245/50/18) is a 27.6" outer diameter (vs. 28") and doesn't carry a heavier load than the 19" 104 XL. I wouldn't want to be closer to the ground in Winter. ...And then we go back to the whole wheel dilemma....where do you find a wheel load rated 750kg+ to safely drive on a Y.
  31. yearofthedragon

    Model Y wheel options

@phantasms They will physically fit, but they're not load rated to hold the weight (which is probably why @Tsportline) made a 19x9.5 to match the factory dimension of the stock 19" Gemini wheel.
  32. yearofthedragon

Will 18” aero wheels fit on the Model Y?

Load rating on your 18" General is 104 XL. If Tesla did offer an 18" wheel and tire for the Y, the tire would likely have a higher load rating. While real world short term driving (winter season) may not result in anything catastrophic, I personally wouldn't take the chance. All it takes is that...

Larger circumference tire will result in speedometer not displaying accurate speed. Real world example: if you switch to a 255/40-21 up front, when your speedometer displays 70, you're really driving 67.

    Model Y wheel options

    20" Model Y Tire = 255/40-20 = 28" outer diameter vs. 255/35-20 = 27" outer diameter = 1" short up front 20" Model Y Tire = 255/40-20 = 28" outer diameter vs. 305/30-20 = ~27.2" = still about 1" short Ultimately, your speedometer will be off. The tires probably aren't load rated for a Y...
