MYLR2024 extended warranty - worth it or not?

For Tesla, you can buy the extended warranty until the manufacturer warranty ends in the Tesla App. It's different from traditional car dealers and other brands.

    Financing Tesla vehicles in Canada

Well, in your contract it says that you paid the downpayment in X amount and then you and Tesla will both sign it at the spot. Plus, you'll have the copy of the bank draft which the bank gives it to you. So, don't worry about it. Done it 3 times with Tesla and had no issues.

Does Tesla provide ICBC insurance in house?

You get ICBC when you pickup at the location and optional insurance option from ICBC (3rd party company) as well. But if you want to go with BCAA (which you should), then you can prepare that in advance when you get your VIN number and finalize the insurance on the day of pick up by calling them.

Model Y RWD now available. RWD+AWD now eligible for iZEV Rebate

When you renewed, you basically pre-paid for 1-month. Even though you can cancelled hours later, you still have active subscription until that 1 month is over. They are not giving you partial refunds. So, you didn't get it for free. Unless they didn't charge your credit card.

    Connectivity from Canada to USA

You don't even need premium connectivity to use the the Tesla data plan in US. Just drive there and everything will automatically switch over (there will be a 20 minutes lag or so depending on the location).

Model Y RWD now available. RWD+AWD now eligible for iZEV Rebate

Is it the picture quality/colour distortion or the trims around the windows are not matt black anymore??
  7. S

Model Y RWD now available. RWD+AWD now eligible for iZEV Rebate

We just switched after 3 years of Model 3 to a Model Y and the biggest difference is the space you get. If you don’t need that then I’d get the M3 LR!
  8. S

Model Y RWD now available. RWD+AWD now eligible for iZEV Rebate

If you mean auto-park, then no. But visual and sound how do you know the tint from Tesla doesn’t offer any UV protection?

    Financing Tesla vehicles in Canada

Rates might go up next week, make sure you apply for a loan and lock in your interest rate. You can always get a lower rate (if available) before taking delivery by emailing Tesla Finance.

Model Y RWD now available. RWD+AWD now eligible for iZEV Rebate

I took a delivery of LR Model & with 20" wheels in Vancouver early May and they came with Good Year tires. But I can confirm the rest match what we got (except the obvious charging speed).

Model Y RWD now available. RWD+AWD now eligible for iZEV Rebate

Thanks! Just front ones and they rub on every speed bump lol .. just normal floor mats so you’d need winter ones. It’s built in Fermont. Also it doesn’t have any ultrasonic sensors either. But does come with Matrix headlights and I believe upgraded cameras (the front cameras have lines between...

Model Y RWD now available. RWD+AWD now eligible for iZEV Rebate

Just picked up MY LR in Vancouver from inventory. It came with PPF for rockers, floor mats and trunk cover. Also qualified for $9,000 rebates.

You have to accept now and then at the time of delivery (about 2-3 days before) you can email Tesla Finance to see if they’ll give you a better rate.

    Financing Tesla vehicles in Canada

Got approved for 6.06% for 96 months with Tesla (Scotia Bank) with $16K downpayment for MY LR (after $9K rebates in BC). I wish I applied back in April to get lower rate. Will email Tesla before my delivery date to hopefully get a lower rate.

March 2023 Model 3 wait times

My trade-in offer was way too low for my 2022 M3 LR, not sure why but I rejected the offer from Tesla and looking to sell private. We are upgrading to Model Y LR

For those who purchased or upgraded to a 2023, are you happy with your decision, knowing what you now know about your vehicle?

I'm 100% Tesla will incorporate front camera in it's line-up within 1-2 years. And I'm sure it will improve Tesla Vision over time via over-the-air updates to it's cars. Unfortunatley, we just have to be patient with the process as we are in the middle of the transition between USS and Vision ...

For those who purchased or upgraded to a 2023, are you happy with your decision, knowing what you now know about your vehicle?

Actually, I'm 50/50 now. I didn't need to test drive Model Y before ordering one but now I will test drive overnight to make sure I'm fully comfortable with not having USS.

For those who purchased or upgraded to a 2023, are you happy with your decision, knowing what you now know about your vehicle?

So far we had one Model 3 RWD and one Model 3 LR AWD. Loved both. Build quality is great for a "new" car company but for sure at this price range you possibly can find other options with better build quality but I think it stops there. We are upgrading yet again to Model Y LR with new pricing...

    BC provincial rebates wait times

You got Model Y Long Range? My only issue is the income limit as we have to do the loan application under my name and my wife's name and we both individually have less than the limit for the income but together it's more thank $100K. Not sure if that would be a problem or not.

    Need some advice

I'd say go for it. We upgraded our 2020 M3 SR+ last May to a 2022 M3 LR AWD and we love it since. You do get some extra benefits included with the car (Rear heated seats, heated steering wheel, much better sound system). Also the extra range is actually very handy if you plan to go on road trips...

Does installing a hitch void your M3 warranty?

I read in Tesla Model 3 manual that the vertical weight limit for the hitch is 55kg or around 120lb. I know my recently installed Torklift EcoHitch Stealth has a vertical weight limit of 300lb. But I rather keep it below the requirement from Tesla. So I got one of the lightest platform racks for...

Any hitch bike rack recommendations for M3 LR?

Does installing a hitch void your M3 warranty?

So, do you have any hitch recommendation? I'm deciding between Torklift Echo Hitch Stealth and the original Stealth hitch.

BCAA has some other advantages too. For your quote with them, make sure they give you all the discounts related to the car being an EV. Also, with the BCAA membership I switched and saved and my on home insurance.

    Financing Tesla vehicles in Canada

Try BCAA once you get your VIN, for sure cheaper. If you get their membership, you'll save more than yearly fee as well.

Adding a charger to my 100 amp panel

Load-sharing devices used to be much cheaper about 1-2 years ago. If you live in a house and have no problem with upgrading your panel then I'd say do that as it will be future-proof. But in a town-house, I believe you cannot upgrade your panel most likely and have to go with the load-sharing...

Official Tesla CCS1 adaptor now available in Canada.

Nothing for sure can beat Tesla Supercharger. CCS would probably be handy for 1) Remote locations without Tesla Superchargers, and 2) People who Supercharge every day and want to save on $$$ in long-term.
  29. S

Official Tesla CCS1 adaptor now available in Canada.

Will the CCS adapter be much cheaper to use down in US for roadtrips or pricing is comparable to Supercharger?

Is Tesla adding FSD to used cars to inflate the prices

I don't think people fully understood what you are asking/suspecting. Yes, I believe Tesla is adding FSD on the used cars on purpose to: 1) Inflate their prices, 2) Increase the number of users for it's FSD program, even when it's in Beta, 3) Force people to unwillingly pay for FSD indirectly...

Official Tesla CCS1 adaptor now available in Canada.

Does the warranty get void if something happens to the car by using a third-party charging adapter?
  32. S

Official Tesla CCS1 adaptor now available in Canada.

Would the CCS Adapter be useful if we are doing a road-trip down to US from Vancouver (Vancouver, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, LA, San Diego, Arizona, Salt Lake City, Seattle, Vancouver)? Will there be many charging stations to use the CCS and if yes, would the cost be much lower than Tesla...

Importing Model S USA to Canada

Any inspections before getting it insured in Canada? Or the broker takes care of everything?
  35. S

No More Model 3 Long Range in Canada?

My guess is too many orders that Tesla could possibly fulfill. They put a stop to the new orders until they can catch up. So many people, including me, are upgrading from SR+ to a LR M3 recently.

Dent and scratch in back bumper and panel while backing

How about just claiming it as a hit-and-run and pay the deductible? Your insurance won’t get affected.

    Collision question

A stupid Denali Truck with backup sensors and camera backed-in into our brand new Tesla few days ago. I have already filled a claim with ICBC and BCAA (my optional) and they said he is at fault 100%. Now with the long weekend and anticipated wait time to get my car to a body shop, should I be...

Hertz Employees Taking Up Entire Superchargers - Charging to 100%!

Well no, I'm just saying if assume they are not corporate we still would have to wait for a stall to get emptied. And even if they are corporate, how long it will take for them to charge? 45 minutes? I'm just saying Hertz won't be charging in Superchargers 24/7, I bet we won't even notice them.
  42. S

Hertz Employees Taking Up Entire Superchargers - Charging to 100%!

So let's assume you arrive at a Supercharger and see all the stalls are taken and everyone is charging (don't know till what % and how long it will take them to do so), will you go and ask people to unplug and let you charge because you are in a hurry? Or you have a low SOC? They might be in a...

You'll not regret upgrading to LR, congrats :)

    Model 3 Winter Tire Package

The problem is the TPMS that is the new version (BLE) and costs $120/piece from Tesla. Shop around but you might be better off buying the whole package from Tesla which includes installation as well.
  46. S

Canadian Model 3 delivery estimates for new orders are already into June.

To be honest, that price difference + getting your car way sooner should be enough reasons to switch to LR. You get AWD + more range + better resell value even if you sell the car right after delivery.

Enhanced Autopilot is live in Canada for $6,400

Comparing EAP price to Acceleration Boost, I’d definitely would go for the acceleration boost instead for my M3 LR.

Model Y wiper blade replacement - any recommendation?

I'd stick with Tesla branded wipers or Bosch, the rest I wouldn't recommend.

On top of that, you may have to put more downpayment IF you owe way more than what you earn, but credit score doesn't matter here.
