I know I’m not the only one irritated with how fast the windshield fogs up and I’ve gotta run the defrost (which is slow btw) to see through it. So my question is what do you guys recommend to keep the windshield from fogging up? What really works? Thanks!

Hey All About to take the MX to Lake Tahoe (from the Bay Area) next week and looks like snow is in the forecast. Just wondering if chains would be required on a MX with all season tires or if will be ok without? Thanks in advance! Love this community!

What if you upgraded to MCU2 because yours failed? Would Tesla reimburse part of the upgrade?

Quick update. Did a chat with Tesla support and they confirmed I had until 2023 or 98k miles. Took a screen grab of the chat and sent to SC. SC confirmed and updated. Sent me an updated quote covering the 12v battery replacement.

When I purchased my MX last year I was told by the SC that I had a used car warranty of 4 years 50k miles from the time I picked up the car. Made an appointment and was told I was out of warranty. Went to Tesla’s site and noticed used car warranty is now 1 year and 10k miles for used vehicles...

Just put on some Nexens. So far so good. No noise and half the price and no effect on power consumption (might be crazy but I’m finally getting 365 kWh vs conti’s 380). I would recommend

I had a similar situation and took my MX in for a service and asked them to check for me. I was pleasantly surprised that it had a warranty for 100k miles or 5 (more) years. Must’ve been a Tesla used car that was picked up from a used car dealer and it transferred to me.

Had the error come back after SC visit. Let’s hope the next update fixes it.

They claimed a hard reboot. I’ve tried everything prior to sending to the SC. They must have done something a little trickier.

Not sure what they did only what he told me around rebooting the MCU. I feel like this is a software bug in the latest firmware. Hopefully they fix it next go around.

Had the same problem. Went to SC and they had to reset the MCU. In and out in less than 30 minutes. Or you could schedule an in home visit.

I gotta say I have zero regrets in upgrading my MCU. Voice commands work. Smoother web browsing. Netflix while charging. Nothing but joy now! All this on a 2016 MX that seems like a brand new car now!

Only one I’m seeing on eBay OEM is going for $100. SC near me was out of stock told me $60 roughly. They are trying to find me one.

I’ve often wondered the same thing but after doing a bit of research I’ve learned a happy Tesla is a plugged in Tesla. System is smart enough to stop the charge when complete but will “trickle” charge when needed...say for software updates / communications with Tesla / etc.

Went to the SC to pick up my MX AP 3 upgrade and was not in stock :(

It’s a bit off - In the MS I was getting an avg 315-350 Wh/mi on the MX I’m avg 410-450 Wh/mi. I had. 2016 MS 75 and now rolling with a 2016 MX 90D. Guess it’s close enough to epa ratings just didn’t expect to consume so much more. Still zero regrets upgrading.

Finally getting mine installed! MCU2 and AP3! Was just going to do the AP3 (already purchased but decided to get the full experience).

Coming from a MS to MX (needed a more family friendly car) I’ve noticed the energy consumption way higher on the MX. I figure it’s because it’s a heavier car but can’t get it close to my MS. Am I crazy or is this normal?

That’s sad. Just picked up a used MX tires look new. Hope I don’t have to replace every year.
