I'm running firmware 139 on my Model X and getting about 78kW on different EA chargers the last few days. Will do 200 Amps all the way up to about 75% or so until the car tapers. Took a crappy video here while holding my kid... It actually seems pretty reliable now. I've charged about 60kWh...

I have somewhat of a success to report on an EA BTCPower unit with my Model X. I they sent me v129 along with the data capture program. I tried twice without data capture, and twice while capturing data. Both times while capturing the data the charge worked! (I got charging failed messages...

Thanks for the reply! I did watch the video in advance, fortunately. I did ccs, then tesla, then turned the power on. The screen showed connecting to car, then the payment screen. I swiped a card, it said approved, then charging started it started making noise. then pretty quickly a charging...

For what it’s worth I finally tried mine with an EA charger today and couldn’t get it going. Will reach out to support and keep trying for a bit

It finally showed up on my nav today, but as a 120kw station. Maybe it will get fixed soon

I noticed the techs were gone on my way back from lunch just now. I plugged in just for fun and it... worked! Not on the map yet though, so not official just yet

I’ve done it a couple times from LA. Stopped off in Temecula to top up charge and don’t have problems driving around there and making it back to at least temecula again. I used ABRP the first time to convince me it’s not a problem.

Kyle is awesome, I want to be his friend. His videos are fun to watch I haven’t tried the towel trick yet, it seems like too much of a safety risk than it’s worth. but it’s a bummer if it’s true that this sensor exists purely to keep the handle cool enough to touch

not yet. there was an EVI truck back today doing some finishing. there’s still no transformer, just an empty platform. it looks pretty much ready otherwise. i drive by a couple times a day and am keeping an eye on it

Another me too post. My connector firmware is 0.8.4 and the car is on 2020.24.6.4. I lowered the car charge setting to 32A and it’s at least able to charge now without stopping. Sounds like the firmware update is promising, but will have to wait till they’re open next week.

i’ve seen it in a few places. i think it also has something to do with passing on the costs from the electric company which bills higher from 4-9

yup. it’s next to the entrance road. kind of by the target sign where they had the green fence. looks to be in its final location now. i’ll see if i can take a pic of it soon

It’s happening to me too on the latest software. For what it’s worth when I went to open the trunk in the garage today,I accidentally touched the rear view camera and noticed it was pretty hot. I wonder if it’s a bug where it’s not shutting off the cameras or something. It’s only a month old and...
