Debretts Guide to Electric Vehicle Etiquette

Quite amusingly Vauhall have commissioned Debrett's to produce an etiquette guide for EV charging. https://www.vauxhall.co.uk/content/dam/vauxhall/Home/electric/ev-etiquette-guide/Vauxhall_EV_Etiquette_Guide.pdf Much of it quite reasonable, but I quite like the advice on suitable subject for...

    Auto Defogging

I don't recall ever seeing this message before and can't find anything on the forum mentioning it, I'm on 2022.28.2. Is it something new ?

    Automated Car Insurance

Interesting to see as I renew my insurance with Churchill the policy now covers 'Automated Cars' to match with the new regulations that are being introduced. This isn't for the current AutoPilot, but the new L4 self driving on motorways that has been pending for a while. I assume other insurers...

    EV Fuel Price Protest

Anyone fancy joining a go slow next week to protest the increase in Octopus Go for 5p to 7.5p /KWH and the outrageous 10% VAT added by the thieving chancellor? We just need to find a Motorway where AutoPilot picks up parallel 30mph road. OK, maybe not, lol.

Tesla need to show more third party chargers

Now we are opening SuperChargers to the great unwashed, why do we still only see Tesla and Ionity in the car? There are lots of site with multiple ultra fast chargers that I would want to route via now, I found this website that shows only ultrafast hubs that are open or coming...

    SuperChargers need screens

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hampshire-61006816 Also great to see one of the most pointless sentences ever in a news story "It added the charge points were originally part of the Chargepoint Genie network but have recently been transferred to the GeniePoint network." 🤷‍♂️ There's...

    Curious 25KW ChargePoint

Google Maps started showing a charge point had appeared on a business estate near me, so I went to have an investigate. It's at a Regus center, a kind co-working space where people can book meeting rooms or desks for an hourly fee. I've never heard of a 25KW CCS only charger before, or 'mer'...

    Trade in now credits FSD?

I saw someone post about this on Twitter, so I did a new trade in price for my 2019 LR Model 3 with FSD that cost me £4800 when I got the car. In December I was offered £40,600, today I'm offered £44,600. Anyone else seen their trade in price increase ?

Sentry works - £1200 costs against person that keyed parked Tesla

TBH it should be much more money, the driver will have had significant inconvenience to get the damage repaired. Spiteful person might think twice about messing with a Tesla again ... https://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/news/19800137.tesla-on-board-cameras-show-woman-keying-car-poole/

    Speed Efficiency

I hadn't notice before but TeslaFi has a speed efficiency graph, so using my actual 18K miles of driving what did I consume at each speed on average. It's not what I expected. If I ignore the lowest speeds as there just isn't enough data, I can see that anything over 55mph is about the same...

    Prince Charles Tesla for sale

Remember when Kimbal Musk delivered a Model S for Prince Charles to try? The loan is up and it's now for sale, one careful plant talking, homeopath owner. Given he is constantly with a close protection office I would check for bullet holes in the roof...

    Things to learn from PoleStar

It's always interesting to check and see how owners of PoleStar 2s are getting along, a nice update here Drives an hour to a Volvo dealer so they can install the Feb software update Takes over an hour to install The highlight is that the wifi now works, if you watch his previous he's spent...

    Self Straightening Steering?

Nice review of the refreshed Model 3 from Fully Charged, but someone in the comments noticed that at 0:42 as Robert gets out the steering seems to auto-straighten, is this a thing?

    Tesla Flaps, too low ?

How have I managed to fit the Tesla provided All Weather Protection kit flaps with spray guard incorrectly? There's so little clearance they scrape the ground if I brake, corner, go over bumps etc. My Car is the LR, so not even lowered as much as a P. I can't work out how they aren't in the...

Boris has a Leaf, Rishi an Outlander

Two out of date pieces of junk, Boris with Chademo and Rishi with Type 1. I also don't think much of the Type 1 upgrade on the Model X. Well done trolling idiots for photographs Octopus.

Tesla vs Audi build quality ...

I'm glad I bought a Tesla, rather than dodgy Audi build quality ... I wonder how common this is, one persons experience might be different to everyone elses, as we've seen in this forum.
