    Ingenext Boost Modules [aftermarket]

What climate are you in? I've had the Boost SR for over a year in my 2020 SR+, and I usually see <240Wh/mi in the summer, and 320-340Wh/mi when temps go below <50F in Northeast US area. This is just probably a cold weather hit to efficiency. Wouldn't worry too much about it.

Keep my order for New, or Buy a 2019 M3 for $27,000?

You can pay Tesla a fee (not sure how much it costs currently, but I remember it being around $5Kish) to unlock the additional range/faster acceleration/autopilot up to a SR+. With that commute and being able to Level 2 charge at home, you're not going to have range issues with even the SR's...

    Ingenext Boost Modules [aftermarket]

Yes, there is a regen toggle in the later firmware versions of the Boost modules to bring back Regen options since Tesla removed it from recent Model 3 builds. That option is still available for older builds stock, so a lot of people don't actually need to use the feature. If your module doesn't...

    Ingenext Boost Modules [aftermarket]

You've put a lot of effort into reasoning why Tesla could end this hack from working if they wanted to, but it's been over two years with mostly no functional issues. I'd imagine the number of users who even have this module installed is an incredibly small number of Model 3/Y owners that it...

    Ingenext Boost Modules [aftermarket]

Why is even a debate? The 0-60 times are posted in this thread for the Boost SR and reliably at least 4.6s, with 4.5s under the right conditions possible. The SR+ NCA weights almost 900lbs less than a Model Y Dual Motor. The Model Y Dual Motor is still the more capable car, but needs the...

    SR+ vs LR handling?

I would not worry about the audio in a SR+ if that is a concern. I wanted a subwoofer and the rear deck speakers back in the mix, so I simply bought and installed one of the Hansshow kits with a sub. Problem solved, over a year and no issues.

Without the Tesla Acceleration Boost, no the Y is slower. With the Acceleration Boost, yes for sure the Y is faster.

When you are navigating to a DC Fast Charging at a non Supercharger where the Tesla navigation doesn't trigger battery preheating, you can trigger this to ensure the battery is at optimal temps for DCFC. Or if your Supercharger is close enough to you that you don't have time to hit optimal...

    Ingenext Boost Modules [aftermarket]

The car goes back to stock when the Boost module is removed You mentioned this already. Tesla doesn't go looking for these type of modifications during service. It would be evident to Tesla that a device like this is present by observing diagnostic logs and comparing that to the trim of the car...

    Ingenext Boost Modules [aftermarket]

Yup, I installed them to OEM spec and did not splice any wires. DRL were working at that time but not fog lights. I waited for the update because I knew it was coming with this feature. Would have 100% paid Tesla to unlock the on screen button, but they don't offer it, so here we are.

    Ingenext Boost Modules [aftermarket]

I installed factory OEM fog lights last month and updated to the latest Boost SR firmware this week. There is now a button to turn on fog lights in the web console and it works as expected. I usually just power down the car from the Safety menu, then unplug the Boost SR module and take it to my...

    Ingenext Boost Modules [aftermarket]

It's likely just due to when their test cars get the update. I have pinged them directly in the past when I've gotten an update soon after release and it not being marked as safe. Then there are other times where an Ingenext approved update didn't become available on my car until like a week...

    Ingenext Boost Modules [aftermarket]

Their test cars probably haven't had that update pushed to them yet. I received an update yesterday for 2021.44.30.14 but have yet to get a 2022.4.x update

    Ingenext Boost Modules [aftermarket]

What's alarming is the poster thinks Tesla would intentionally lock users out of their cars because a third party module is installed. (That's so dangerous and absurd lol) It's likely the software update had post updates issues (which unfortunately happens with these cars) or failed, and once...

Update 2021.32.22 bricked my LEMR [not related to update -12v battery failed during update]

There is no Boost module for the Mid Range, only Bonus. Why do people do this in almost every thread that throws these kind of error messages when nothing indicates it has anything to do with it?

Rich Rebuilds Electrified Garage repairs Model 3 at $15K+ discount

I'm wondering what Tesla is going to do when they start letting non-Tesla cars charge as Superchargers. Many of those cars will potentially be salvaged vehicles too with many of these same questions. Except Tesla can't just remove Supercharging access from a vehicle they don't have that kind of...

Elon: auto shift will come to all Tesla cars with FSD

I'm not understanding why this can't come standard to all cars that are capable. Much like the chime on green light feature, this is a quality of life improvement that's being stuffed into the FSD package because I guess its logical connection to the FSD software stack. Either this should be...

    Model 3, LR-AWD First Impressions

It. Does. Not. But it's still a great sounding system on its own merits. I came from an Audi Q5 that had a better sounding system. I can think of a few Infiniti cars with better sounding systems in them. But not that it matters as it relatively easy to upgrade/change the Model 3's sound system...

Acceleration Boost for SR+ coming soon?! [nothing yet]

I would love this, but I don't think much will come of this The 980 motor hasn't been in the SR+ since sometime in 2020 and there are reports that the 990 motor is at its full potential in the SR+ configuration. So they would have to do two separate acceleration boost depending on what motor is...

    Ingenext Boost Modules [aftermarket]

I just received the Boost SR module today and installed it. This is a significant improvement performance wise. Tested the acceleration out and it's much more substantial than the stock SR+ (which isn't a slouch by any stretch). Didn't time it with a Draggy or anything, but 0-60 felt 4.5ish. The...

    Ingenext Boost Modules [aftermarket]

Ordered a Boost SR last week since I have a 2020 SR+ with a 980 motor. Super hyped to try it out. I'd definitely be interested if Tesla offered an acceleration boost for the SR+, but they don't. (and won't since they are using 990s in the SR+ now) So I'm glad that this at least provides this...

Should I get the self driving option for 10k or wait ?

It only takes a $160 price point for the subscription to be more profitable over 67 months, the current average car loan. While I understand Elon wants the subscription to cost more than buying it right out so the sub won't kill that option, when you have over a million cars that are FSD...

Model 3 LR for LONG daily commute?

I would not recommend a Model 3 LR for this commute if you can't arrange a reserved Level 2 charging situation at work. You'd have to recover at least 30 miles or real world range somewhere along your commute to make it home without range anxiety. The commute can be done with that requirement...

is there another way to find out SR+ motor part number besides looking for sticker?

It's best to just use a smartphone camera and stick it through the wheel close to the tie rod(?) and take a picture. With the flash off as the sticker is reflective. That's what I did. There's no other way that I've heard. Ingenext says the same.
  32. B

    Ingenext Boost Modules [aftermarket]

This probably isn't for you then. As a SR+ owner, a 0.6 0-60 acceleration boost with the bonus of heated rear seats, ambient lighting (which isn't offered by Tesla), and a few other things for less than $1K is compelling.

Tesla Model 3 vs. Honda Accord Hybrid

I have both a Model 3 SR+ and a Clarity Plug-In Hybrid (which basically uses the same powertrain as an Accord Hybrid, but with a bigger battery, and EV only driving for 47ish+ miles). I don't think the Clarity is the ideal car for a 150 mile commute even though it can make it with ease in hybrid...

Should I trade in my 2019 SR+ for the 2021?

What kind of comment is this? HW 3.0 has better video encoding, is needed for the full FSD feature set, has more visualizations, etc.
  35. B

    FSD Subscription coming "early 2021"

Well, Tesla is currently throwing in FSD in their used inventory right now. There's a Model LR AWD for $38.5k with 26k miles on there right now. You would likely pay that much third party without FSD included in a third party sale. So they surely aren't valuing it at 10K. Secondly, the pricing...

    Hansshow Audio Upgrade? (SR+)

Where did you tap power from for 12V?
  37. B

    Hansshow Audio Upgrade? (SR+)

Check the power cable going to the DSP if you have the older version of the DSP that gets mounted beside the subwoofer. The power cable fell out for me when I went over a bump a week ago. Plugged it back in and everything worked again and expected.
  38. B

    Hansshow Audio Upgrade? (SR+)

Old style. I ordered just before it was switched. I'd say if you're iffy, wait for someone else to order the newer sub and ask for a sound test. Might not be much of a difference in practical terms. It's also probably possible with some quick cable mods to use another sub (such as OEM) with the...

    Hansshow Audio Upgrade? (SR+)

Just received the Professional kit today and got it mostly installed. I am missing the screws for the DSP, so for now I just put it in the undercarriage storage in the trunk until I can reach out to support for the right screws and get mounted. Overall, the installation was not that difficult. I...

    FSD Subscription

While Autopilot is clearly at the top of the industry at its base functionality TACC + Autosteer, other car manufacturers (including EVs) already include some form of these features as standard. Tesla cannot seriously offer even a $30K car without at least those features in today's market. On...

    Hansshow Audio Upgrade? (SR+)

    FSD Subscription

Because people would be paying monthly instead of a lump sum, so it improves affordability considerably even if the same amount of money is spent. Also, a subscription plan by its nature would allow people to upgrade to a new Tesla without their FSD being attached to the car. If contract period...

    FSD Subscription

A $10K FSD purchase price is not reasonable to the vast majority of consumers, no matter how much you want to convince people they are missing out by dropping thousands of dollars on a product that is still in beta and still feature incomplete. The beta looks awesome and very promising, but it's...

    Hansshow Audio Upgrade? (SR+)

There was some confusion about this when the harness solution first came out because of TeslaOffer's harness solution having this issue, but Hansshow's harness has a "frequency divider" built in as a solution. They updated the order page with that info as well: "For the DIY kit, with the...

    Hansshow Audio Upgrade? (SR+)

I don't think people who are interested in the Hansshow upgrade kit are audiophiles. The purpose of this kit is activate the existing inactive speakers, and with the Professional package, add back in a subwoofer and amp to support it. There aren't really any additional speakers being added with...

    FSD Subscription

Tesla is likely going to chose a price point that strikes a balance between maximizing reoccurring revenue and just getting people on board with FSD. They may hit $100, the may go a little higher, but objective is making the subscription option an attractive offer.
  47. B

Please Tesla offer SR+ with premium audio so i can buy your car!

There are ways to power the inactive speakers in the SR/SR+ variants of the Model 3. You can add your own amp to power them, or wire up the speakers up to the ICE. (the Hansshow's option for wiring the speakers up to the ICE is confirmed to be able to be safely used a higher volumes with the...

FS: Model 3 SR+ Partial Premium Audio Upgrade DIY Harness - $65

I have a brand new DIY wire harness that activates the 6 inactive (4 if rear speakers are missing from your SR+) speakers. Hansshow Audio Upgrade? (SR+)

They are talking about the comment made in the video that the Hannshow kit subwoofer is using the signal on the right channel. Which isn't really an issue as @Darwood77 explained.

    Hansshow Audio Upgrade? (SR+)

Just FYI, someone on YouTube posted a video detailing the installation of the Professional package, with some sample music with the kit installed. This gives an idea of what to expect from either Harness only or DSP+Sub upgrades.
