I recently converted from gen 1 to gen 3. And I have a question about previous members mentioning a"tether"as part of the retrofit. Can anyone explain the Tether?

The similar threads below will good you if you go the splice route. Adapters are available from Tesla, but my local service center have me trouble when I tried to order them. If you can get some pictures of the adapters, you'll know right away.

Yes I do. I'm attempting to do the same retrofit as RK2020. I found some 2018 next-gen seats that will be shipped to me this weekend. I have a 2013 model s 85. Why have you done the retrofit also? Or have those harnesses?

Thanks ya'll. I'll do the wait on phone. I don't think it's under warranty. 2013 Model S. 1st owner registered in June 2013. If I'm not mistaken, the only coverage I might have (I hope) is powertrain warranty till June 2021.
