Aftermarket Sway Bars - Front Endlink Failure - '20MY

First of all I just want to say, my endlinks didn't fail after all. I don't know what my wife was panicking about, the car was perfectly fine when I drove it. So that was very embarassing. Secondly, I really want to thank @MountainPass and Parts3xpress for the help and checking the car...

Aftermarket Sway Bars - Front Endlink Failure - '20MY

I installed Redwood Motorsports sway bars in May for my 2020 Model Y. One of my front OEM endlinks failed in about 3 months after. I just put in 2 new OEM endlinks and those failed in a week! My installer says aftermarket endlinks they've seen 100% failure so I was trying to avoid putting them...

Benefit from after market rear sway bar

Originally I had ride height on low and the Adaptive Suspension Damping on Auto. It felt heavy on turns. Then I turned it to advanced and left the Ride Comfort in the middle, but moved Handling to Sport. I felt like that made a HUGE difference.

Plaid owners ... let me know ... please

No idea about torque vectoring but I have an MYLR with MPP Coilovers and Sway Bars and at first I thought that handled way better than my 23' MXP. My MXP just felt like this light tank that was heavy on turns. Then I found the setting where I just put handling to SPORT and left the ride on...

255/45R20 Tires on the 20" Inductions?

No rubbing issues, I am even dropped 0.5in. with my MPP Coilovers. I love the added cushion, felt like it completed my suspension set up. I've had them for 6 months and about 10k miles already. I guess speedometer is slightly off now but I can live with that.

Odometer rolled over 100K MILES on 2020 MY AWD

Never seen anyone say OEM Tesla Tires lasting 80k miles! Usually like 30k miles. Wonder what driving that is, SUPER CHILL mode?

    Sway Bars

Oh yes, I have the FLCAB but not the inserts. Are the endlinks very necessary or can I just put the sway bars on.

    Sway Bars

Anyone have the UPP or another brand of Sway Bars? I'm considering getting it even thought I have MPP Coilovers (10/10 settings all around) installed. I feel like there's a lot of body flex, like creaking sounds in the interior when going on uneven roads, and was wondering if the sway bars...

255/45R20 Tires on the 20" Inductions?

I love my 255/45/20 AS4's. On MPP Coilovers, dropped 0.5" and some sound deadening. Once I got the new tires (which were like $70/tire cheaper than 255/40/20's), they instantly felt more cushiony. I just feel like that made a huge difference, anyone else agree?
  12. bpon89

    255/45/20 vs 275/40/20 on induction

My 255/45/20 are running nicely, definitely feels more comfortable and saved $70/tire. I stiffened up my MPP coilovers a tad bit, feels very good now.
  13. bpon89

19 inch vs 20 inch wheels ride quality

I have a 2020 MYLR with MPP coilovers. I put 255/45/20 tires on my 20" inductions. The higher sidewall (45 instead of 40) was much more comfortable, but messes with the Speedometer probably 3-4%. Considering they were $70 cheaper per tire, I'll live with that. I drove a 2023 MYLR and it...

    MountainPass Performance Comfort Coilovers

If I want to reduce body roll, my current F: 12/12 R: 12/10, would it be best to drop to F: 10/10 and R: 10/10 (or 10/8)? I also have MPP FLCAB and Rear Cambers. I'm lowered 0.5 inch, with larger sidewall 255/45/20 tires, I felt a big difference in comfort with the larger sidewall even though...

MPP compression rod and control arm bearings.

@MountainPass Current Mileage: 53k Installed MPP Coilovers at 35k Installed Front Lower Control Arm Bearings on 1/7. Both front tires were bald inside within 3k miles of driving. My Toe alignment was off. I installed MPP Rear Camber Arms on 2/27 and did my first alignment at Pep Boys...

    Ear pain/Pressure help

I think you were spot on everything I experienced during the install. Went with 3/8" OD at first and there was this huge gap on my trunk even after adjusting the hatch stops. The angry pop sound, yes very angry. While installing the tubes I ran into these factory soft black rubber 5/16" tubes...

Has anyone fitted 255/45/R20 tires on 20 inch wheels?

Got the tires installed at America's Tire. MPP lowered 0.5" with the 255/45/20 Inductions - Michelin AS4's. I used to be able to stick my hand at the top of the wheel to adjust the coilovers, definitely can't do that now.
  20. bpon89

    255/45/20??

How were your 255/45/20 overall? What tires are you running now? I have an MYLR dropped 0.5" on MPP coilovers, just ordered some AS4's 255/45. Costco wasn't going to install it due to safety issues but America's Tire going to do it for me. Would love to hear more about your experiences. TIA.

Has anyone fitted 255/45/R20 tires on 20 inch wheels?

Crappp, just called my Costco told them that I ordered the 45 sidewall and they said they won't install it because it's over 3% and that's just too much. Increasing the width is safer. I just ordered them from America's Tire (Discount Tire), just asked if I've done some independent research...

Has anyone fitted 255/45/R20 tires on 20 inch wheels?

Think I'll have any issues going with this 255/45 on MPP lowered 0.5"? Which one would be more comfortable, a 255/45 or 275/40?
  23. bpon89

    255/45/20 vs 275/40/20 on induction

Think I'll have any issues going with a 275/40/20 if I have MPP coilovers dropped about 0.5 inch? For less road noise and ride comfort, should I go with Conti's DW06? I currently have on order 255/45/20 AS4's but I'm having second thoughts on what would be better for comfort without any...

MPP compression rod and control arm bearings.

@MountainPass do we need an alignment if we only install the solid front lower control arm bearings? It’s the only things I’ve done/changes since my tire rotation on 13k mile tires in Dec. Now at 17k miles 45 days after install FLCAB, my front tires are completely bald on the inside.

MPP Comfort Coils NUMBERS ONLY THREAD

That does make sense. I'm guessing you don't have any mudflaps if you have a 1inch drop? I guess I could just take them off.

MPP Comfort Coils NUMBERS ONLY THREAD

Nice!! I have about 15k miles and just adjusted mine to F:10/10 and R:10/8 and like it so far. MYLR is dropped 0.5" from stock. I have a new issue right now, my mudflaps seem to be scraping on speed bumps! So initially, I was supposed to have F: 12/12 and R: 12/10. After I figured out how...

Ohlins coilover vs. MPP Comfort Coilover comparison

Very nice write up regarding the Ohlins. I'm not sure what year the loaner S was but it was the older design, possibly 2017? The loaner S was comfortable. It's my Comfort MPP that feels more bumpy and harsh.

Ohlins coilover vs. MPP Comfort Coilover comparison

I recently had my MYLR in for some service bulletins and they gave me an S loaner. When going over the same railroad tracks I go over every day with the S, it was just a muffled comfortable roll over. When I go over it with my MPP (12/12 all around) lowered 0.5in. on 20" Inductions, it feels...

Mic for phone calls not working after car sleeps overnight - MYP 2022

I think the fact that many of us are having this same problem as I've seen posts on Reddit too has to be Software update related. Do you have a specific person we can all call too? I've only done the two button and phone reset but never unpaired it. I was hoping it would fix itself by now but...

Mic for phone calls not working after car sleeps overnight - MYP 2022

Today I was stuck in traffic for several hours, every phone call I tried to make, the other side can't hear me. It's been happening to me for about 3 weeks now one and off. I feel like I've been seeing the complaints come up after one of the past updates, not the most recent 2, the one before...

Chirping/squeaking sound coming from rear when going over bumps/rough road

Could it be your rear roofline? I had some taillights installed that needed wiring, but the roofline at the rear was loose. No matter how many times I pushed it back up it kept coming back loose with a chirping cricket sound. Finally just had someone replace the clip and lock it back into...

I have an MYLR on 20" Inductions. I have 12/12 front and 12/10 back. Sometimes when I go over dips or bumps I can see my toddler in the back getting bounced pretty harsh. Any suggestions? Will going 12/12 in back help?
