2013 S 85kW, 40k miles, 100% charge is 250mi rated. Third owner. Don't think the previous two drove it a whole lot or used superchargers all too often. That, or the battery has been replaced at some point. Regardless, I've been pretty happy with it!

OH! Other tip I haven't seen mentioned: my pre-facelift ScanMyTesla adapter and reader is still working after the MCU2 upgrade and all reads still come through. They apparently don't swap that wiring harness during the upgrade, so another win there if anyone was curious!

I second the rated/ideal estimate point, and possible even a 80% vs 100% mix-up. The '17 90D has an EPA rated range of 294 miles, so I'm not sure you'd have actually been able to get 290 miles at 80%, ever. 80% of 294 puts it right at 235 miles, so 233 is a fair estimate, given a little degradation.

Yes. The 2013 S 85 I recently bought 3rd party is pay per supercharge use. However, it seems that trade off is a 4 year "New Vehicle Warranty" for going back through Tesla, as my car is now covered until 2024.

I haven't done a single 90-5% drive in about a month, but it's anywhere from 45-60kWh. Range displayed at 100% usually says around 235-240, but I've only ever been able to get 185 miles once. I ordered an adapter for SMT that should be here this week, so I'll definitely have a better look at...
