I am currently asking $41,250 without the extended warranty. I will include the 2 year extended warranty...

2017 Tesla Model S 75 for sale in SoCal

No. You would have to go to a 90 or 100 to get that and it would cost more.

Any Big Island Tesla owners interested in a Tesla swap in CA?

Hi there, Still hoping I don’t have to rent an ICE car for the month of April. Anyone want to do a mainland road trip in my Model S?

Any Big Island Tesla owners interested in a Tesla swap in CA?

My wife and I visit the Big Island at least once a year and it always frustrates me to have to rent an ICE car for our visits. Next April we will spending the entire month at a condo near the Kona Country Club and I thought I would see if anyone on here was interested in a swap. As you will see...

    Supercharger - Atascadero, CA (8 V2 stalls)

I suspect it was also attendees coming back from the TMC conference. We made sure we left around 8 am from Monterey and got to Atascadero at 10 am. By the time we left 30 minutes later there were 4 cars waiting. Also appeared to be some locals charging too.

General chit-chat in "For Sale" threads

Looking at ordering a new S75 and want to decide if I should sell my current S60 privately or accept the Tesla buy back trade in offer. Here is what I have: 2013 Model S60 - delivered end of May 2013 51026 miles Dark green metallic, tan leather, pano roof, tech package, rear facing seats, super...

How long was your wait in line? (I think we were at the slowest store..)

Stopped by the Costa Mesa, CA location around 2:30 p.m. No one in line. Walked in and made my deposit and was gone in 5 minutes. I had heard that current owners would be prioritized based on when you took delivery of your Model S/X/Roadster so saw no reason to line up early. Our neighbor across...

Model S/X Owners Have Priority Model 3 Orders Over Non-Owners

I was very grateful to receive this email. I don't tweet very often but a month ago I tweeted to Elon that those of us who supported Tesla early on should get some preferential treatment in ordering Model 3 for family members. I am coming up on 3 years with my Model S and almost to 49,000 miles...

Superchargers on the BC Ferries fleet would be a great idea!

We did a road trip from SoCal to Victoria BC this summer. We used a destination charger at Colette's B & B in Port Angeles (beautiful spot right on the straits of Juan de Fuca), then took the ferry over and then stayed 3 nights at Coast Hotels in downtown Victoria less than half a mile from the...

Did Elon's comments just hurt your "early production" car's resale value?

My car was delivered in May 2013 and I now have almost 44,000 miles on it and have never had a problem. It is simply the best car I have ever owned and with software updates just keeps getting better. Based on my limited experience on this forum and at Tesla conferences Tesla owners tend to be a...

Poor experience using a Tesla Charging Partner

Sorry to hear you had a problem with one of the destination chargers. We did a road trip this summer all the way to Victoria, BC and used three different destination chargers. In each case we did let them know in advance that we were expecting to use their charger and when we checked in they had...

    EV-only household

We had a Tesla/Leaf combo until we turned in the Leaf last June at the end of the lease. We had almost 30% loss of range on the Leaf. We were only getting around 70 miles range fully charged. We paid $700 for the quick charge port but rarely used it. The Leaf would always lose range rapidly at...

    Elon Tweet: Model 3

We will place our order as soon as possible to replace my wife's Fiat 500e. The lease on the Fiat 500e runs out in 2017 so we may have to make do with one car for awhile unless we can extend the Fiat 500e lease on a month to month basis. There is no going back to an ICE for us.

    Supercharging letter from Tesla 8-13-2015

I am more concerned about people who plug in and then disappear and leave their car plugged in for hours. I travel all over San Diego county on business from Orange County, CA in a 60 and before the SC in San Diego opened there were times I would barely make it back to SJC only to find it...

    Super Charger & Occupancy Sensor

I could not agree more. We are getting ready to head out on our 5th long road trip (about 3000 miles this time) and it would really help to know the status at our next destination in advance. BTW, I received an email last Friday to alert me to the situation at Hawthorne which was helpful because...

Supercharger - San Diego, CA (Qualcomm / Pacific Heights Blvd., 12 V2 stalls)

I have had to wait once at Hawthorne for over an hour in the early days, also at Gilroy and Fremont on a July 2014 road trip but at SJC I have had to wait at least half a dozen times. For those of us who drive the OC to San Diego route frequently this new location will help reduce the load at...

Supercharger - San Diego, CA (Qualcomm / Pacific Heights Blvd., 12 V2 stalls)

I make the trip about once a week and often have to go to Chula Vista and Poway. Last week I made it to SJC with only 3%. I certainly hope we won't get locals leaving their vehicles there and not returning for hours. That happens a lot at SJC. I was there today for an hour at stall 3B and there...

Supercharger - San Diego, CA (Qualcomm / Pacific Heights Blvd., 12 V2 stalls)

Can't wait for this one to open. Yesterday I had to go to Chula Vista for an appointment and was running late so I had to drive 75-80 to get there. Coming back I made it to San Juan Capistrano with 15 left. Fortunately there was a spot open which is not always the case at SJC. I hope the local...

    Apologies to Leaf owners but...

The Leaf was our first EV. We took delivery in May 2011 after waiting for a year. Prior to that we had a 2006 Prius and a 2010 Altima hybrid (both went to our kids). Once I got my Model S in May 2013 we were all in EV and never going back. The Leaf was nice but we experienced a 25% loss of range...

    Tesla vacation swap?

My wife and I visit Hawaii for three weeks every year arriving just before the New Year. For quite a few years it was always Maui but last year we went to the Big Island and really loved it and are coming back again this year. I took delivery of my car in May 2013 and last year it was a downer...

Supercharger is NOT your personal parking spot

I have encountered this twice in the last month. The first was at the San Juan Capistrano location which I already posted about on a separate thread. Four of the seven spots were occupied for more than an hour and a half with no sign of the owners. This was at 10:30 am on a weekday. I have my...

Wait times at San Juan Capistrano

Pulled in at 10:30 am this morning for just my 4th visit to SJC since it opened. Charged okay twice but the third time all stalls were full and there were 3 cars waiting. This morning I needed to charge between an early morning trip to San Diego and an afternoon call in LA. Once again all stalls...

    Got a Flat, Here's a "how to"

Just an FYI I had a slow leak develop that turned out to be a small piece of hard plastic that had embedded itself in the tire. My local Sears automotive shop that I have dealt with for years fixed it for $19. No problems. There is no way that I would be able to do the repairs described in this...

Supercharger - San Juan Capistrano, CA (7 V2 stalls)

I stopped by there yesterday around 11:30 a.m. There was only one other MS and no ICE'ing. Wish there was a quick coffee place there. I think there is something within a couple of blocks and it is close to El Adobe but I only saw a Mexican bakery inn the plaza itself. Charging was very fast...

Scratching the itch for a second EV!

Glad to see the new information in this thread. The lease on our 2011 Leaf SL expires in July and with 20% battery degradation there is no way we will buy it and are reluctant to lease another one for that reason and the limited range. My wife is the primary driver and wants to be able to drive...

Took delivery of my i3 yesterday

We test drove one yesterday and were very impressed. Lots of head room and great visibility inside, great handling and does look well made. We will be replacing our 2011 Nissan Leaf in July when the lease is up and now think this is the one. We test drove a Rav4 EV a month ago but the fact that...

Nissan Asks “How Much of a Premium Would You Pay For a 150-Mile EPA-Rated LEAF?”

Thanks for the info. Too bad Nissan is not reaching out to initial Leaf owners like us. We waited a full year to get ours. Of course none of these can hold a candle to the Model S - best car I have had and worth every penny. But also twice as much as I have ever spent on a car. I could have told...

Nissan Asks “How Much of a Premium Would You Pay For a 150-Mile EPA-Rated LEAF?”

Obviously we would love to have a second Model S but that is not happening. The Focus is rated at 76 and the Spark at 84 so they won't do either. Would love to hear from anyone who has taken delivery of a RAV4 EV in the last year.

Nissan Asks “How Much of a Premium Would You Pay For a 150-Mile EPA-Rated LEAF?”

We have had our Leaf since May of 2011 and will be coming to the end of our 39 month lease in July. We love the car for around town. My wife is the only one who drives it since I got my Model S at the end of May last year (just under 11,000 miles already). The Leaf has around 16,000 on it and we...

Trip Report: Los Angeles - Vancouver roundtrip

Thanks for the trip report. We did Orange County to San Francisco using the 101 SC's this summer and are planning to go to Vancouver next summer when the SC network is more built up. What to do with my Model S while in Hawaii for 25 days

My wife and I go to Hawaii each year around New Year's for around 3 weeks R & R. It happens to be the slowest time of the year in my business and there is no place more relaxing than Hawaii. This year we are spending 25 days on The Big Island from Dec. 30 - Jan. 23. In addition to the thought of...

Random Thoughts on SuperCharging an S85 after a 1300-mile roadtrip

Thank you Brianstorms for posting your experience. We did a similar trip to the Bay Area in July and had a great experience with the 101 Superchargers and local J1772 chargers in Carmel and Palo Alto. We did use the Tesla Service Center in Palo Alto once and the only glitch we had was a long...
