Service replaced my leather seat with a vegan seat

Reasonably certain they only use synthetic leather now, I doubt they have an option to replace it with real leather. Not sure what the solution would be on your end or what you csn get them to do about it. Honestly you might be stuck with an aftermarket option.

Is GAP insurance a good idea now used car prices dropping fast?

Most insurance companies should offer it, if yours doesn't, I'd say contact one of the other bigger ones and ask about it. I know geico offered it years ago, but not sure if they still do or not.

Is GAP insurance a good idea now used car prices dropping fast?

As a former insurance adjuster, I always get gap. I saw lots of people lose a lot in accidents without it. You can usually add it on fairly cheap with your insurance company.

How long until we get a 400+ mile model Y?

I'd settle for just reaching the EPA figures, if you could realistically get the 300+ miles they rate I think that would help a lot.

    Black car in texas heat

Just curious for anyone in a state with summers like Texas (100-110), how bad is it cooling down the car? What kind of battery loss do you get cooling it down if it's out in the sun for a while? Does it really even make much of a difference since the roof is glass? I've had dark and light...

    500 + Mile Range Debate

I was under the impression that is not the case, at least if it's just wanting to add them in an area they normally wouldn't have enough traffic for. Maybe I'm wrong. Was a while back when I actually looked at it. Part of the issue too is that I really only have one place thst can spare the...

    500 + Mile Range Debate

For us to do this would require breaking up parts of the concrete parking lot to run electrical and set up the chargers and repave parts of the parking lot afterwords. Not cheap and, having had to have stuff repaved before, the local companies often do poor work that has to be redone. Also, they...

    Clarification on charging to 100%

Thanks for the responses everyone. The battery types explanation cleared it up for me.

    Clarification on charging to 100%

I typically drive on average 200-220 miles per day for work. Sometimes less, sometimes as much as 300. It isn't uncommon to have long commutes in texas, but yes, mine is more than most. I have restaurants that are all far apart. There is one supercharger on my route that is only 15 miles from...

    Clarification on charging to 100%

Just want to clarify how this is bad for the battery. I've always seen not to charge past 80-90% unless you are doing a road trip or something, but I've seen more recently that the only reason to not charge to 100% (at least at home, not supercharger) is if it will be sitting at that charge for...

    500 + Mile Range Debate

The amount of time i spend at each location varies greatly. The restaurants also don't have any type of fast charging/destination charging nor places to put them without a huge monetary investment. Even if it was an option, I still don't understand why offering a higher range vehicle for more...

    500 + Mile Range Debate

I have multiple restaurants that are not close to each other, I go to at least 2 a day, usually more. I have no desire to stop and charge. Why would I want to spend more time charging which just makes my work day longer when, if I had more range on the vehicle, I could just charge at home at...

    500 + Mile Range Debate

I think the range is absolutely necessary. For me personally, the only reason i don't have an EV yet is range. For my daily work drives I drive a minimum of 150 miles a day, most commonly around 225 miles per day and sometimes up to around 310 miles in a day. I do this 5-6 days a week. There...

Questions for owners in hot states (texas, Arizona, etc)

Think the real world range is just a little too short for me. Really disappointed I really wanted to get one.

Questions for owners in hot states (texas, Arizona, etc)

Thanks again for all the replies, sounds like I would be very borderline on range. Yeah this is kind of what I'm thinking. I mean if I know those days I could trade cars with my wife for the day, the problem is when there are problems that pop up and I have to drive out to certain places when...

Questions for owners in hot states (texas, Arizona, etc)

Thanks for all the replies, glad to hear ac isnt a big issue. This does concern me. I'm on a lot of one lane roads that are usually 70-75 mph. I know I wont get the 316 miles, just concerned I'd get less than 250, which is really kind of my cutoff point to make it home on certain days.

Questions for owners in hot states (texas, Arizona, etc)

I'm very interested in getting a model y, but have some concerns. I drive a ton for work, between 150 and 230 miles per day and the only superchargers on my route are about 15 miles from my house. My concerns are that, being in texas with a lot of days over 100 degrees and a lot of the roads...
