How far ahead of production should we expect to see specs?

Probably a dumb question, but seems like early models may roll off the assembly line mid 2023 (maybe not for delivery but similar to what they did at Austin for the MY). Assuming that (big assumption), shouldn't the specs be finalized by now? At least for things like Exact Dimensions (L, W, H)...

Went from 2020 MY to 2022 and Regen Braking option gone, lower regen too

I changed from a 2020 MY to a new 2022, and have noticed one pedal driving doesn't work as well any more. Also, the option to set Regen level isn't there any more (or I can't find it). I don't know if this is due to a software update (running 10.12.3 FSD Beta), or something about the new MY...

Selling my MY, can I transfer any settings and how do I clear my info

I'm selling my 2020 MY LR AWD and buying a 2022. Is there a way to transfer locations and driver settings? How do I clear out my information (turn off cellular subscription, unlink from supercharger account, phone info, locations, etc.). The car has FSD and I don't want to accidentally...

Cybertruck - capacitive switches on yoke

On a recent episode of Munro Live, they talked about the controls on the yoke and said that they were capacitive switches. In general, capacitive controls require a touch (finger or stylus), does anyone know if this will be an issue operating the controls with gloves on?

    Visualization screen freezes under 2021.44.25.6

Has anyone been having problem with the visualization screen (left side of display) freezing in the "parked" position under FSD Beta 2021.44.25.6? Everything else works fine, but the car remains displayed as parked. This has happened to me 3 times since this update came out, and never before...

Does preheating the car (climate option in app) also precondition the battery?

If I use the climate option in the App to pre-heat the car a few minutes before I intent to leave, does that also pre-condition the battery in cold weather? I don't have a specific schedule, so I only do this manually about 5 minutes before I intend to leave.

Score now 99 - do you get FSD Beta now or next cycle?

Today I got a solid 99, after losing a really bad score 31 days ago (guy cut right in front, autosteer off, hard braking, following too close, etc.). Unfortunate that we get penalized for other's bonehead moves. Anyway: Does anyone know if FSD update emails/downloads come out mid-week, or...

Weather Channel fireplace poll - respond with romance mode screen

“The Weather Channel” @TWCAlexWallace is asking “You may not be ready to turn the heat on in the house just yet but maybe the fireplace does the trick do you use gas burning or woodburning?” Maybe send in video of Romance mode

Looking for picture of MY knee airbag deployment

I an looking to install a small shelf in the area above the passenger's feet and below the dashboard. Below is a picture of the mock-up. I know there's a knee airbag that deploys below the glovebox. I'd like to know exactly where it deploys and how large it is, so the shelf doesn't interfere...

Enabling sentry when dog mode is active?

When dog mode is active, apparently sentry mode is turned off. I know I can manually re-enable tilt/intrusion after setting dog mode, but that can lead to false alarms due to movement in the cabin. Under normal (non-dog) conditions, sentry mode is active and if someone brushes by the car or...

MY Screen went black while on NJ Turnpike

Yesterday, while driving along on the NJ Turnpike in Autosteer mode, my screen just want black. Car continued to run, autosteer and cruise continued to function, just no screen. At the time, I had a web viewer running with ABetterRoutePlanner active. I headed for the next rest stop, but by...

How are miles calculated on Superchargers

I'm confused about how the Superchargers figure out miles. I just filled up using free (referral) supercharger miles. On the screen when it was done, it said 177 miles added. When I checked my Loot screen, I see that I was charged for 110 miles against my free credit. Between fill-ups I actually...

What does the 50 MPH icon mean when it pops up?

From time to time, a little icon pops up on the left area of the screen over the image of the MY that shows 50 MPH. It has nothing to do with a speed limit sign since I've seen it on the turnpike (70 MPH signs), residential roads (35 MPH), etc. It also has nothing to do with my set speed. Any...

Turn off passenger side dash vent

I thought there was already a thread on this subject, but I couldn't find it so maybe it was on another forum. Anyway: Why isn't there any way to turn off the passenger dash vent in the Model Y? The car will already turn off that vent when no passenger is sitting there, so the capability to...

iPhone ringer volume turned way down by MY

I've been trying to nail down a problem with my iPhone XR ringer volume getting mysteriously turned way down. It seems to be related to using my MY after it connects via Bluetooth. That's just my working theory right now. Not sure if it's the actual cause, and also not sure if it's really an...

Gen 3 Wall Charger - Can I get data from it?

I'm looking to try to get power usage data for my Model Y. In particular, KWh usage over time (how much electricity has the car used in a month, year, etc). I can install a power monitor such as this one from Amazon: AC 80-260V 100A CRS-022B LCD Display Digital Current Voltage Power Energy...

    Explicitly locking the Model Y

I know this is a kind of picky question, but: Is there a way when exiting the MY to explicitly lock the car? I know that I can set it to auto-lock, and I know I can use the key card on the B-post, and I could also buy a key fob, and the app probably has a way too. . But my wife is concerned...

Will the Model Y avoid or stop for an open door on parked car?

I was driving today (or to be more clear, the Model Y was on Autosteer) and a local road. One lane each direction, with cars parked on both sides along the road. Normal residential street, posted 25 MPH. It tends to drive biased toward the curb side, a little closer to the parked cars than I...

Why doesn't my Model Y shutdown and/or keeps waking up

I've had my Model Y AWD LR for a few weeks now. When I park it in the garage, even after a short trip, something under the fronk keeps running. Sometimes for hours (literally). And sometimes when I go into the garage many hours later (or next day) something under the fronk wakes up. Some...

    Looking for softer ride

I've had my Model Y for about 2 weeks now and have been very happy with it. Really an amazing car. The only thing I'd like to change is the stiff ride. Every bump comes through. I understand that it was probably engineered for handling, so the suspension was tuned that way. Is there a way to...
