Wiki MASTER THREAD: Actual FSD Beta downloads and experiences

I did try it and it does work although I had not opted in on the new profile so all I could do was cruise control vs FSDb. I've now done that so tomorrow will try switching those two.

Has anyone with the old windshield washer system changed to the new one?

LOL. You must not have a 2020. A working spray nozzle is worth every penny. My best outcome is to have it rain. I keep a small spray bottle in the car. Besides only 67.15 right now in Yankee fun bucks

Has anyone with the old windshield washer system changed to the new one?

I'll have to try again at the SC. They previously told me no. But perhaps armed with a part number I might get a different result. Alas, as I am decluttering, gave away my gear puller a couple months back. Have to see if I can borrow it back.

Has anyone with the old windshield washer system changed to the new one?

Are there just two versions? or 3. IF 3 which one is it? I though I had read that a 2nd version with more nozzles came out but isn't there one now with a heater? How well does it work? What did it cost? I'd love to have an actual working wiper on the driver's site

What's your Wh/mi and how do you do it? Any tips?

I guess being in FL helps both with terrain and temp. Once in awhile I can get that on a drive or I could until I bought the Michelin Sport AS/4s. But what is your lifetime Wh/mile? Mine was about 261 but has crept to 269 with the new tires.

Scheduled battery preheating vs. battery degradation

I've never left it on that long to see if it turns off. Seems like a waste of money/electricity. I paid attention this morning and I two notifications. One is a normal notification with others on my phone/tablet. The other is a popup. Presumably from the app. THat is the notification that...

Scheduled battery preheating vs. battery degradation

Maybe I'm misstating as a suggestion. I'll look today but I think I get the notice and in that notice I can turn it off. Again will double check this but if I"m right, I'm taking the presence of the button in the notice as a suggestion. I do often precondition but set departure to be 15...

Scheduled battery preheating vs. battery degradation

The problem with scheduled departure (for me at least) is that I get a notice that the cabin is up to temp and the suggestion that I turn off cabin heat. This is pretty consistently at 15 mintues prior to departure.

thx I will be trying to hit it going south. Picking up the youngest daughter tomorrow and not sure I can quite make the round trip. Don't want to charge on the way back with a 4yo & 10mo so that looks like a good place to charge up, get coffee and wait for the plane to land.

    1up USA Bike Rack

In my 2020 MY FSDb works fine (or as fine as it works with no rack). There is some rear warning that sort of looks like a yellow mustache because it thinks you have a tail gater. And in reverse it complains. Same reason. I haven't used it with AP but if FSDb is working I'd assume AP is as...

I see a different one (called V4) similar to the one I'm using but maybe a little stubbier. And it looks like it comes with the newer keys. When I got my rack it came with that large V3 lock. Didn't want to comment on the V4 as I haven't used it but maybe if someone else has they can chime in.

Yes, there was on the onset a slight pull to the right. That got worse as time went on. I put about 2000 miles on the car after first noticing the vibration (but not yet the pull) as I was returning to NJ from Colorado. At the point when I took it in the pull was noticeable. I'd say it was...

Tesla Noob -- What to consider before ordering a Model Y?

I still say you are incorrect (I won't abuse you with ignorant at best). It is straight forward math. You can pay (making up the numbers here) $35,000 for a $30,000 car by taking a 5 year loan by paying $7,000 a year to the lender or you can save that $7,000 / year and buy it in 5 years while...

Tesla Noob -- What to consider before ordering a Model Y?

unless you are getting the fed rate, irrelevant. Agree that emergency cash funds should not be used. Savings (i.e. paying cash ) is related because which way you choose will have you end up with more or less net worth. Sure they can have it. A matter of delayed gratification. You want to...

Tesla Noob -- What to consider before ordering a Model Y?

if your savings rate is higher, pay cash. If it is lower than the loan rate take the loan. I've never run in to that so I've always paid cash. Don't be fooled by rebates etc. Often lower interest replaces rebates. If you have to choose, take the rebate and pay cash.

Tesla Noob -- What to consider before ordering a Model Y?

I don't recommend loans. Just can't stand the thought of that interest going to someone else. If I couldn't afford a tesla I'd more likely buy a cheap toyota. I did take out a loan once. But that was from my future wife for a used motorcycle (couldn't afford a car) and you can be damn sure I...
