Yeah...it hasn't changed all that much from when I got my S 3 years ago. I'm in Denver, it was in Vegas on the ground, and it took over a month to get it. Somehow it ended up in San Diego, blah blah. Seems like Tesla still has a long way to go on efficiency here (not to mention QC).

Short answer: Yes. Long answer: I don't recommend it. I've had a Model S for three years and am awaiting my Y. I had my Valentine One hardwired to the mirror on my S and it blew a fuse in the Tesla leaving me stranded. Tesla swears it was caused by the V1. I have my doubts, but I wired it...
