You essentially have to pick it up every time you want to see or do something. My holder puts it exactly in my right hand with my elbow on the armrest.

Sure. I bought 20x9" wheels and put 275/40-20 tires all around. Provides a little wheel protection, comfort improvement, and the ability to rotate. Also, the wheels are much lighter so will provide slight performance improvement as well.
All better now... props to Discount Tire for paying $135 a wheel to make it right. (I have to keep the caps off for a couple days to let the paint cure)
Thanks. I have CC2 on my wife's MYLR, but I need a performance tires to save me in the high speed maneuvers. 😅 I started with dws06, but the road noise made me swap back to Pilot Sports. They are still noisy, but very good overall. The pilot sports did fine in town over winter. We take the...
Just had a similar experience with Discount Tire and my new MW05s. The manager asked how I wanted to resolve it. I said wheel repair and he opened a Purchase Order with a wheel repair company while I waited. They are supposed to fix the wheels in my driveway with no cost to me. Hopefully it...
I checked the brake dust shields and they all seem fine.
That's what I thought. I tried two different sets of tires and there was no change.
I almost think the noise may have been there before and the lighter more open wheels let more of the noise through. Though that is just a guess.
I just mounted 20x9 Martian MW05s with recommended 275/40-20 tires and there is a new droning noise I have not heard before. It sounds like a metal hum 40mph and under. It's not constant, but comes in small waves. I'm probably sensitive to noises in general, but did not hear this in swapping...
If you are running at speed into a curb you always have a risk of wheel damage. I think most damage to these wheels comes during slow motion parking where a few extra millimeters of tire will definitely help.
The ride in my 2022 MYLR was terrible and even mpp comfort coilovers didn't help...
Yes. I bought my MYP last spring and my wife a MYLR last fall. The federal and Colorado tax credits along with her trade in essentially made her's free. We are also very close to the income cap, so I figured I'd better get them sooner than later.
My 2022 MYLR had paint chips on the hood you could see the aluminum through. I wrapped both my 2023 MYs in matte for protection and to differentiate for the tons of other MYs on the road. If money was tighter I would've done the $1500 front end option.
I bought the Tesla caps from TSportline. Perfect match. I tried Amazon caps and they were very poor quality.
This setup is exactly what RoBoRaT recommended. Quality is good. Tires are CCS2.
For those that have PPF and the Tesla Roof Rack, did you use the 3M stickers that go under the rack mounts to "protect the paint"? I saw a YouTuber did not use them as he stated his ppf was better.
Also, should this be considered a permanent install? Guessing we will only use it a couple...
