Service Center "brushed my car up against another car"

Just following up with developments: Well, they replaced the rear bumper due to 'that area getting the brunt of the damage', although I have to say it's a little weird never seeing what the original damage was like. They didn't supply any photos or anything. The new bumper looks new/nice...

Service Center "brushed my car up against another car"

Yeah, that is the plan, more or less. Apparently there was enough physical damage that they are already replacing the bumper today, and then there is remaining damage to the fender (which I assume is a quarter-panel), which may just be needing paint/body shop work. I guess not much else you...

Service Center "brushed my car up against another car"

I'll try to keep this short because these things can go on forever. Basically, an already tumultuous time at the service center that was supposed to be a 1 day repair turning into a 5 day repair (heat pump broken? they haven't actually explained what was wrong yet, but basically lost climate...

    eMMC recall vs. MCU2 Upgrade

Assuming they make money even on the discounted MCU2 upgrades, it seems like it would make them the most money, and cost them the least in recall losses to slow their roll and encourage as many people to upgrade to MCU2 as possible. In theory even if they keep reducing the MCU2 upgrade cost...

    eMMC recall vs. MCU2 Upgrade

Wow the fact that they've only replaced 3.3% of the eMMCs is interesting indeed. I wonder if that includes the MCU2 upgrades. My somewhat uneducated guess is they have no use for those original eMMC parts once these recalled cars are fixed, and knowing that many folks will go straight to...

    eMMC recall vs. MCU2 Upgrade

I think your experience is shared by others. My buddy's 2018 AP2 MCU1 is becoming increasingly problematic and his SC is dragging their feet fixing it, even logging in remotely, clearing memory, etc. So yeah, if you aren't having issues, your option is pretty much pay to upgrade or wait and...

    eMMC recall vs. MCU2 Upgrade

I've got an AP1.0 2016 model X with MCU1 that is pretty much fine. I've got nothing enticing me to upgrade or warranty repair. Do you guys think they'll ever come out with MCU3 compatible with our cars? I know some have mentioned the new refresh is a different resolution and (obvi)...

Max power from both 12V cigarette adapters

SOLVED: Tesla just called me back (I put in a service request with the above question), and confirmed after reviewing the wiring diagram that each 12V Cig adapter is on a separate circuit and has it's own 15A fuse. Mystery solved ;). This should help if you want to have an inverter in the...

Max power from both 12V cigarette adapters

Apologies if this has been answered. I've not been able to find it definitively yet for my 2016 MX P90DL. A similar topic for the Model S was disucssed here but not definitively answered...

FS: Model X complete tow hitch

Kind of an old thread, but anyone having any issues getting the software update pushed? I recently installed a hitch and put in a tesla service request for the software and Tesla is asking for purchase confirmation of the hitch etc (I purchased from an individual and installed myself). Not...

    Trailer Hitch on Model X

Haha, as what happens to many of my videos. Did you run into any snags while installing it?

    Trailer Hitch on Model X

E-trailer ended up price matching Amazon, so saved >$200 on that which was nice. Final cost <150. Will install early next month, maybe make a Youtube video since there doesn't seem to be much out there about it.

    Trailer Hitch on Model X

Are you guys buying the Draw-Tite hitch anywhere else? It looks like etrailer has hiked up the price significantly to like $379: https://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Hitch/Draw-Tite/76143.html?gclid=CjwKCAjwiMj2BRBFEiwAYfTbCpslsH3F-CmKC00MOgfu2kLeKuJmEowqs1WzakFtM925CvnadYZyQBoCu5cQAvD_BwE And...

    Trailer Hitch on Model X

May have already been stated, but FYI I think it is the 76143, not the 34. Thanks to all for this info. Going to try to put on my own drawtite hitch this month on my 2016 MX

Replacing Rear Camera on 2016 Model X

It was the same camera / camera model # (Part#: 1006773-00-F), but my original one was out of focus/defective. The resolution appears about, i dunno, 1080? Not quite as good as the 3's, but def a huge step up from an out-of-focus 1080, and better than pretty much all other non-Tesla cameras.

Replacing Rear Camera on 2016 Model X

Super sorry for slow reply. Got caught up with other stuff and forgot I wrote to this forum. Long story short, I got everything ready to replace the camera; bought new OEM camera off ebay for the $37, bought a trim tools kit off Amazon, got the Model X factory service manual offline, which...

Replacing Rear Camera on 2016 Model X

Oh yeah, fwiw I did try doing a full factory reset of the car to see if that would help, as well as cleaning the lens with a lens cloth. Neither helped unfortunately. Tesla remotely accessed the car's logs and didn't seem to come up with anything and was planning to replace the camera as part...

Replacing Rear Camera on 2016 Model X

First post here, forgive me and shoot me feedback if it can be improved. I just got a 2016 P90DL Model X (AP1) and I'm loving it! Only issue with it was the backup camera is out of focus. Still usable but sort of like having a mild/moderate need for glasses. It's just out of warranty, and...
