Having now gotten the retrofit installed, correction to above is both versions of the retrofit kits contain an ECU and the CCS adaptor. There is simply a different version of the ECU for the pre-busbar version of the charge port (prior to Aug. 2020 build).

That is quite odd, given that Norway is full of superchargers, and the US deep freeze was not unusually cold for Norway, and yet they do not experience these issues in Norway.

I don't believe the superchargers broke. The main issue was people attempting to charge cold soaked batteries in a deep freeze. It can take the better part of an hour just to warm up a battery enough to take a charge in those conditions. Still good idea to get the CCS retrofit (I did), and...
