Reuters: "Tesla readies revamped Model 3 with project 'Highland' -sources" [projected 3rd quarter 2023]

Looks better that's for sure. I was worried the interior was gonna look cheap based off leaked pics, but looks great. Waiting for the Performance version.

    2018 M3 LR+AB feels faster then 2020 M3 LR+AB

The bad part isn't really the loss between the 2, its the potential of the 980. You can get the ghost unit from ingenext for the 980 and add 160hp.
  3. S

    2018 M3 LR+AB feels faster then 2020 M3 LR+AB

Torque comes on earlier and harder with the 980, this is shown on dyno. They aren't the same, tesla tries to make them the same and hopes no one pays attention. If you want performance a 2019 is the best, has the best hardware and wasn't year 1 build.

    NeoMAX coilovers

They are basically BC coilovers. Better than stock but that's about it. The best cheap coilover is the Tein Flex z, the best is MPP

From what I can gather that is a China specific issue.

    2018 M3 LR+AB feels faster then 2020 M3 LR+AB

The 2018 IS faster In early-mid 2020 tesla changed the motor from the 980 (performance motor) to the 990, some 2020's got the 980 (mine has it, early 2020) from there on the LR got the 990, its capable of less power. This is why if you go to Ingenext's website they specifically ask if your car...

Reuters: "Tesla readies revamped Model 3 with project 'Highland' -sources" [projected 3rd quarter 2023]

Waiting on the M3P......when it's released, trade in time, we are buying it. They really need to turn up the power, make the mid-high pull harder. Would really like a "laser blue" type medium blue to come out, otherwise it will probably be white again. They really need to hurry up, I would...

Wheel Speed Sensors have failed me twice

On my 3 this happened when going over certain bumps, same errors, happened a couple times. Found the left front sensor came off its bracket and was flopping at the connector. Put it back, hope its fixed, if not I'll have to replace.

    Tire rotation best practices?

Rotate often, my tires are testament to the excessive wear you will get with a rwd tesla. Front to back is sufficient, at least

Tire tread wear on original 18” aero wheels

I have the SR+ my rear tires wear at at least twice the rate of the front. I got an "excessive treadwear" warning from the computer. I've had 3 sets of tires they all have done the same. Stock MXM4 Winter - Hakkapolita R3 Summer - Falken Azenis

Canadian site, but that usually means they are coming from somewhere in the US first.

Tein Flex Z front shock mount

I'll put up a thread, don't hold your breath though. Shipping in canada is a joke then I need to install them. The only thing the commie canada post can figure out is how to cost more money while lowering performance.

out of spec tire size and traction control

I have 245/35 20r with ET 30 20x9's on mine and I don't have any issues. I cant even notice a difference in range.

    EV newbie with Teslaesque questions

(Off topic) Please do NOT buy a Chinese Volvo (Polestar) - they require you to drive 10 under in the HOV lane at all times, or at least that is what all the owners of Polestar in Vancouver do. (On Topic) The charging infrastructure is not there. The Polestar owners that I yell at for going 10...

Tein Flex Z front shock mount

Thanks, ordered these. Fingers crossed, I've had good luck so far with getting less expensive parts and getting close to the same results. My wheels are forged from china, jova wheels, and those have been great at about 1/5 the cost of forged wheels from canada or usa. It's hard to justify some...

Tein Flex Z front shock mount

Thanks for the review. I am leaning towards these since I can also do sway bars for the price. Hard to beat a set of these and sway bars or non adjustable coil overs for roughly the same money. If it were your money, these and sway bars or MPP comfort NON adjustable coil overs. (I also have a...

Tein Flex Z front shock mount

I did watch this review, they seemed pretty promising based on what was said. Compared to MPP (comfort non-adjust) in a similar price bracket they have a few advantages, they are adjustable. I read conflicting info about reusing the hat, people mostly said it would be noisier, but it also makes...

Tein Flex Z front shock mount

I've been looking at these vs the MPP comfort (non adjustable) My immediate gripe about them is they don't reuse the hat, so they are likely going to be noisier. When you do the drive could you take note of the ride quality as well as the noise, vibration, rattles ect? I hope to see your...

    Upper Control Arm Creak Options

Mine did this, it was bad for about a month before I got it fixed, its warrantied I think there was also a recall about it. Point is, I drove 200km a day for a month just fine, annoying but fine.

Anyone using the 20" non-foam tires?

I have Falken Azenis on 20 forged wheels that I bought, they are louder than the stock 18's that came with the car, I don't have 20's with foam to compare them to. The real difference is the 20 compared to the 18, if you are already running 20's, the difference is going to be minimal, I said...

    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

I went with the Falken Azenis FK510 for my summer tire since I blow through tires very quickly. I would describe them at 8.5-9/10s a PS4S, tiny bit louder, don't grip quite as hard. But they actually surprised me with how good they are. I am very happy with them so far, especially since they...

MPP Comfort Coilovers - How Much More Comfortable?

Swap to lightweight 19" wheels, lower the tire pressure to 39psi and do the coilover swap to the comfort adjustable, set them up as P3D-R suggested. You'll think it's a different car it'll be so much better.

Replace back tires -> Never need to rotate tires?

When I changed out the tires on my SR+ the back were below the wear bars the front had about double, I hate those tires so I changed them all anyways but ya if you don't rotate them the back go more than twice as fast as the front, I only got 30k kilometers out of the back. Note - I never...

CT had better not beep at me when door is open & seatbelt not clicked in

They FOR SURE will not let you do that, tesla is all about the nanny state safety systems, drives me bonkers. MAYBE if you twitter Elon enough it could be added as an update that you have to go through a bunch of windows like ludacris mode. HOPEFULLY a 3rd party company will develop this but...

This car needs a Sport mode

I would like -track mode -drift mode -dynamic weighted steering - Tesla to stop trying to block companies getting more power out of them or offer the tc and stability as a % selector in the front and rear. Anything from nanny state to coming in backwards hot, and everything in between
  34. S

This car needs a Sport mode

This is why they got rid of "dyno mode" people were putting it in dyno mode and doing burnouts, crashed, media covered it, dyno mode gone. Stupid people ruin everything.
  35. S

This car needs a Sport mode

Its not the only option, the Boost 50 SR+ and Boost 150 LR AWD from Ingenext has a "drift" mode that kills the TC. Its 1200 or 1300 CAD, but has more stuff, rear seat heat bypass for those that are locked, door pop, trunk and frunk pop ambient lighting and 50 or 150 hp increase. Supposedly it...

    LSD (limited slip differential) anyone?

So for Canadians, MPP are the only ones who know how to install this? It would be something I am interested in but just popping over to Ontario is a bit of a drive from BC

    Ingenext Boost Modules [aftermarket]

They do, the SR+ boost is 50hp, the product they are talking about is boost 150hp. Both of these products require the 980 motor the 150 only works on the LR AWD with the 980. I hope they get more than 50 later on, I was always curious how much tesla is limiting these cars. Fingers crossed...

    Ingenext Bonus Module

ya, mine is an sr+ manufactured on jan 2020 somewhere around there. Anything as old or older than mine should be 980, I looked where the video said the sticker would be through the rear driver wheel on the drive unit.

OEM '20 Performance Wheel Bent - Now What?

750 per wheel for a cast boat anchor........you can get forged wheels for half the price that are much stronger and about 10-12lbs per corner lighter. There are entire threads dedicated to forged wheels here, take a look, I paid 1600 shipped for a set of forged 20s that i am very happy with.

    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

Shipping was the longest because it's sea shipping, round about 30 days on the boat and another week for UPS. 2021 vs 2020 looks and interior

I was a bit disappointed when I went to trade my 2020 sr+ in for a 21 performance........I didn't like the new console or matte plastics or the black exterior trim. I know that most people like the black trim (I prefer the chrome as long as it has bright wheels to match) but what is the forum...
