Heater makes a hum/vibration when turning on

Would it still be the compressor if outside temp was colder than my set temp? I only asked because I've sat in the car in my garage when it was 90 F outside and never heard/felt the compressor turn on.

Heater makes a hum/vibration when turning on

We took the MY car camping a few days ago. The AC was sounding fine until the outside temperature dipped to about 30 F. Then I started to notice an intermittent hum accompanied by a subtle vibration. At first, I thought it was a neighboring RV watching an action movie very loudly (with an epic...

Is there a trick to getting the lumbar adjuster to work?

Mine seems to work just fine in all directions in both seats. Maybe you aren't pressing in the right place on the control? Otherwise, I would get an SC to take a look.

Key card got switched at wheel shop

Thanks guys! I still have one functioning key card so I should be able to figure it out.

Key card got switched at wheel shop

I think the wheel shop I used accidentally swapped my card with another Tesla. I didn't realize until a few days later, so at this point it's probably no use in chasing after my actual card. So my question is, can I simply reprogram the key card I have (that's someone else's)?

Spotify playlist only plays one song

I think it could be the Spotify app on the phone conflicting with the app on Tesla. I went into the phone app settings and turned on the "show local devices only" and the problem went away. My phone no longer tries to remotely control the playback on other devices anymore, unless I'm on the same...

    Tint voids window warranty?

I don't have any window failures as you described yet. Then again I've only had it for 10 days. Yours definitely warrants adjustment because of the intermittent rolling down of the glass. Thank you so much.

    Tint voids window warranty?

Yeah, sounds like they're giving me the run around right? Here's the comment on the invoice: "is within tesla standards at this time. window tint will void warranty related issues with windows".

    Tint voids window warranty?

Dude that's exactly like mine! Thanks for your pics. Do you know what steps they took to fix it?

    Tint voids window warranty?

I'll ask the mobile service for their opinion. They moved 2 tasks to mobile service because parts were on order.

    Tint voids window warranty?

Appreciate the insight about the law. Is that a state law? Might be different in California vs Texas. Not sure if you can tell in the picture but the glass seems to "bow" outward. The flushness tends to be worse in the middle compared to the top and bottom.

    Tint voids window warranty?

Hi all - I need some advice if you don't mind. Here's the story. I took delivery a little over a week ago. Took note of any issues I wanted fixed and scheduled the service appointment. While I was waiting for the service, I took it in for tinting the 2 front windows, which I regret being so...

    Help identify random reflective part

Hi all. I just took delivery today and found a random piece of reflective plastic in the passenger door cavity. Can anyone ID this part?

    California waiting room Q3

That's just a placeholder time. I assume you're picking up from the Fremont factory? They told me to wait for a text saying it's ready on the day of the date that showed up on my account.

    California waiting room Q3

Just wondering how you confirmed it was a factory pickup as opposed to the rumored home delivery?
  17. E

    California waiting room Q3

That reddit OP updated the post and said they confirmed the opposite is now true. But to your point, just because you get home delivery does not actually waive your right to a return/reject. Don't you still need to submit final (down) payment the same as if you're picking up? What's stopping...

    California waiting room Q3

They really want to cut it as close as possible for everyone within 100 miles of the factory....

    Ordering fee?

I have both written and verbal confirmation that the $100 gets taken off the final payment upon delivery. Say your down payment is estimated to be $10,000. You would pay $9,900 when you pick up the car. I believe the MVPA would be the final numbers, not the order agreement.

    California waiting room Q3

I think you're missing my point. The spreadsheet is not all inclusive. So it's inconclusive as far as I can tell.

    California waiting room Q3

That is 1 California VIN per day that we can see. The tracker doesn't track every single delivery since it's completely voluntary.

    California waiting room Q3

Also went from having "Estimated delivery: -" to having nothing at all. Maybe it means we're up next! Trying to stay optimistic here.

    California waiting room Q3

+1 for the 2-3 week text. Looks like the lower limit slipped a week since I got the 3-5 week text back on 8/25.

    California waiting room Q3

looking at the spreadsheet and going back to May/June orders, it looks like California starting seeing deliveries starting around the last 10 days of June. Sure there are outliers like early June and even July/August, but I'm seeing mostly late June deliveries.

    California waiting room Q3

Bay area resident here. Ordered mid July, got a VIN 2 days later but was not ready to take delivery. Asked to delay till 8/31 but still waiting for another VIN as of now. If I'm seeing the upload insurance page, is it safe to assume my account is deemed eligible (as opposed to on hold)?

    August/September VIN Notifications and Deliveries

Out of curiosity, did they tell you to pay $100 less than the price on your MVPA to account for the order fee?

ANOTHER 3-5 Weeks?!?! (Bad News Thread)

I got the same text today, but my order is just the regular AWD trim. So I don't think they're slowing down Performance production in particular. My speculation is just that they're probably under promising. If you're in California, it'll most likely be less than 3-5 wks from today.
