Took Delivery yesterday in Minnesota (47xxx)

They did! Then I ran into an alignment problem. So that finally got fixed and now I'm getting a clunk from the front. I'm going to try to document it so I have evidence for it to get fixed. They first blamed my reason for an alignment on snow tires until I convinced them to test drive it...

    Martian wheels

Same here :( I ended up buying the Aero Wheel center caps from tesla and they come with black lug covers and the tesla centercaps. Model 3 Aero Wheel Cap Kit

    Performance model winter range ?

Best I can do for you right now is only 120 miles of driving in the snow/rain/freezing temps. I should include this disclaimer though... I have 18" wheels and snow tires on my car so it is probably skewed (the car thinks it's 19's because that's the smallest tire size you can have). But right...

Glad I went with Xpel PPF stealth/Ceramic Pro...

I was so close to pulling the trigger on that as well. I ended up just going full front xpel and ceramic for the whole car. After this I kinda regret it, but it was going to run me around 7k and I just couldn't justify it with what we have going on in our life right now.

    Where to get winter wheels?

I went Martian 18x7.5" wheels (Drew said these should work on the Y and are rated for it) Continental VikingContact 7 (235-55-18) And got my TPMS Sensors from the tesla service dept (I picked them up in person).

9.5" wheel on the MY and 8.5" on the M3...Why?

My assumption is that the wider wheel can hold more load. The Y weighs more than the 3 so it makes sense to have a wheel that is stronger and can hold more weight. So, if you do buy a narrower wheel, check the wheel's load rating and make sure it equals or is greater than the stock wheel.

    Alternative to HomeLink module

I got the Nexx... seems just like the Meross but a bit more expensive (darn it, lol)

    Performance Boost Available

A little disappointed they didn't come out with anything for the performance. But hey, it is what it is. I mostly bought the car for the suspension and brakes. Enjoy the quickness all you Long Rangers!

Took Delivery yesterday in Minnesota (47xxx)

Thanks! I took a million pictures... My thought was that even a pic far away and zoomed in is proof it existed when I picked it up. Although every issue I found I showed to the SA and asked about the process to fix it. I didn't want one where they were like... that's within spec. To me they...

Took Delivery yesterday in Minnesota (47xxx)

Thanks guys... And yeah.. It was a tough decision. I think what swayed me was the fact that it was the best looking Y in the lot. I have an appointment tomorrow to get it all fixed. According to the SA's it should be all resolved. Then it's off for full xpel stealth ppf. The dents are...

Took Delivery yesterday in Minnesota (47xxx)

Hey everyone! Well... I took delivery yesterday but had a few issues. Luckily all the issues seem to be resolvable. The panels look great and the paint looks fantastic, which is why I was ok taking delivery and having them fix the problems later. I figure I'll let you guys know what I found...

How to order TPMS Sensors from Tesla?

I just called the local service center (Eden Prairie, MN) and they had a number to press for parts dept. Good luck!

How to order TPMS Sensors from Tesla?

I called the parts dept yesterday to order some. Left a message with all my info and received a text later in the day saying they'll be waiting for me when I pick up my car on Thursday. Couldn't have been easier.

18" Aero wheels and Model Y load limits

My biggest concern has always been stopping. I'm an old subie rally guy and I've spent quite a few long nights cutting up a new set of nokians because it would give our driver an advantage. So based on that experience I try to go snow tires whenever I can. Especially with heavy vehicles. But...

18" Aero wheels and Model Y load limits

Oh yeah, I'm not talking about the 18" aero's. I'm thinking about the Martian 18x7.5. The load rating looks like it'll work fine with the Model Y. And yeah, it gets rough up here, 100 in the summer and -30 in the winter. It really wreaks havoc on our roads. Thanks Zoomit! That seems like...

18" Aero wheels and Model Y load limits

My understanding is that those crossclimate tires are really just all seasons with a bit more winter flair. There are plenty of all seasons for most wheel sizes except for maybe some extremes. The reason I'm thinking about 18's is because we get very harsh winters here in MN and the roads get...

18" Aero wheels and Model Y load limits

Welcome to the forum! I'm also new, but it doesn't hurt. lol. I live up in Minnesota so snow tires are basically a must if you're buying a performance model. I spoke with Drew at Martian wheels about going with the 18"x7.5" wheels that they sell for the model 3. He said, So apparently that...
