Situation resolved

My wife, who is the primary driver of her 2018 Model 3 LR says she got a notice to replace the cabin air filter.

Having the battery checked Tuesday with mobile tire rotation and cabin filter replacement. I'll ask the Tech to check the 12v battery and have a discussion with the "real owner", my wife. I'm in for replacing at 5 years+ old.

Corrected to $65 with a trip in to the shop in person.

My issue with a charge of $235 for cabin filter replacement has been resolved. It took a trip to the Tesla Service Center in person to correct. Charge now shows $65. How and why originally it was showing $235 is still a mystery!

I'll check the app tomorrow to see what my spouse entered.

I called the Tesla Service center today to inquire about the seemingly excessive charge of $235 for the cabin filter. The individual answering the phone said he would correct that and the adjusted quote would show on the app. Hasn't changed so far, stupid me I did not ask for a name. I might go...

My spouse has made an upcoming appointment for a tire rotation and cabin air filter replacement. She is being quoted $235 for replacing the cabin filter. Does that seem a bit expensive? 2018 Tesla Model 3, first time replacing filter. I am too large and less than flexible at age 70 to do it myself.

I put on aftermarket floor mats I found on Amazon almost immediately. I have no idea what the original floor mats look like anymore!

We charge off the Tesla panels often, if not (like tonight) for a trip tomorrow from San Diego to LA at 100% we charge off the grid from 12:00am until 5:00am. We really enjoy knowing we can charge during the day when the sun is pumping at home off the Tesla panels.

All I can say after almost 6 years of ownership (10/18 purchase) is that it has been a great experience! This is my wife's vehicle, she is he ultimate "test driver" and can manage to break anything over a period of time. Outside of 3 broken windshields, no major problems. 1 set of tires. Soon...

Home charging, usually we get 80% at around 250 miles. Recently at night when it's been colder we have been getting less. I think she has been leaving the Sentry Mode on. That could be it in part? Not all that concerned. Maybe just a glitch?

It means wife's Tesla is not getting regular charging levels. I'll try and limit my nightly JD on the rocks intake before I post!

Do you think Starlink is a better option than DirecTV Satellite?

We live in San Diego, Ca. and have only used a Supercharger twice in 5 years. When we have we charge to 100% because we were on the road. Other than that, we charge at home (Tesla Solar Panels) and then to 80%. Battery loss has been minimal.

Has anyone recently purchased and set up Starlink for home? I see both Home Depot and Costco are offering the home version for $599 and $120 a month for service. Are you pleased? Easy enough for a 70 year old with marginal tech skills? If you have, comments and impressions appreciated.
