Low Disk Space — Free Space to Restore Functionality

I just got that message for the first time today. Rebooting the car from the Safety menu didn't change anything. However, rebooting the MCU using the 2-wheel press and hold, I got a new error message: USB unit is malfunctioning - remove and re-insert. When I did that, all the error messages...

Pic of your Model 3.......RIGHT NOW! [model 3 pictures thread]

Our second Tesla was delivered today, a blue M3 RWD. Here it is alongside its big brother, my 3-year old MS. Happy birthdays!

    Any risks ordering inventory cars?

We're taking delivery in 3 hours on a new Inventory M3 which we ordered 8 days ago. As others have said, Tesla built a lot of M3's and now they need to unload them. $2470 taken off list price before loyalty discount and state and federal EV tax credits makes a new M3 available for under $28K...

Discussion: Model 3 Price reductions - Jan / April / Oct 2023 and all other pricing discussions

Ordinarily we'd avoid buying a rear-wheel drive car in New England to avoid getting stuck in snow and ice, but we have a good reason to go ahead with this RWD - my 2020 Model S, onto which I put good winter snow tires. Since we don't drive a whole lot, on the snowiest days we can leave the M3 in...

Discussion : All discussion regarding Model 3 and Tax credit in model 3 subforum

Just found out that Massachusetts has a $3500 point-of-sale tax credit for EV's. Makes a pretty compelling case to buy a new qualifying EV - up to $11K price reduction here.

Discussion: Model 3 Price reductions - Jan / April / Oct 2023 and all other pricing discussions

In my case, withholding doesn't apply, as I'm a self-employed retiree. I won't have to make any more Federal estimated tax payments this year, and if I still don't have enough tax liability for the year to cover all my EV credits, I'll transfer money from my IRA into a Roth IRA, creating...

Discussion: Model 3 Price reductions - Jan / April / Oct 2023 and all other pricing discussions

Update: we got the final trade-in offer from Tesla today, which we declined. Carmax offered us $26K for the Subaru, $2.2K more than Tesla's offer and more than enough to make up for paying the sales tax on the full price. We'll drop off the Subaru at Carmax tomorrow afternoon and take delivery...

Discussion: Model 3 Price reductions - Jan / April / Oct 2023 and all other pricing discussions

Yep. Along with the Federal tax credit (which is non-refundable), you can get a discount of $11K on an M3 - in addition to whatever 'price adjustment' Tesla may dole out. We also got a $500 referral credit, so we get a total discount of $13,970 (!) Delivery is in 5 days.

When to submit trade-in info to Tesla

We're right in the middle of this process. Just 3 days ago we put down the $250 deposit on a new M3 (taking advantage of over $13K in tax credits and Tesla discounts), hoping to trade in my wife's car. The Tesla sales advisor gave an estimate of the trade-in value, pending final approval from...

I've been driving a 2020 MS for 3 years now, still loving it. Just a few months ago, my wife bought a new Subaru Crosstrek, but wasn't loving it. So today she test drove a M3 and ordered one on the spot. Here's where it gets good. We found just what we wanted in inventory, in blue, available in...

    Model S Photo Gallery

Here's my 2020 MS freshly washed and ceramic sprayed. The wheel covers are original equipment, sprayed black with PlastiKote about 2 years ago. I've driven about 15,000 miles with the coating, even taken it through multiple car washes, without problems.

FSD beta and hitch mount bike rack

Just a couple of days ago, I had a bike rack and two e-bikes behind my MS. While on FSD-beta, the car suddenly lunged to the right toward a guard rail, with no provocation. Only a hand on the wheel prevented an expensive event. It's the first time that FSD beta has done this, and the first time...

    FSD Beta and subscription

I got lucky. In early June when the window opened for a few days, I was just two months into my FDSb subscription. My score had just the night before edged up from 92 to 93, and I got in. FSD beta expansion to new beta testers June 2022

Tesla's decision to go down to three strikes can't be based on eye tracking - I have a 'legacy' MS without a cabin camera. OTOH, I find that one hand on the steering wheel provides just enough mild torque to tell the car that I'm still there. YMMV. Edited to add photo of Autopilot screen...

FSD beta expansion to new beta testers June 2022

I didn't know it was the FSDb software until I got in the car and read the notes. In particular, nowhere did I...

From Model 3 to Model Y to Model S

Not only can you program the suspension to raise at a given location on a Model S, but you can also set the driver's seat to rise whenever the car is put in park. I do both of these at home, making it much easier for my senior-citizen legs to get into the car.

Tesla recalls the boom box feature

Wow. I've owned my MS for 18 months now, and I never noticed that faint sound. Just like Boza said, I had to roll down the windows with the car in a quiet garage to hear it. THAT's what the NHTSA is worried that Boombox will cover up? It's barely noticeable.

I'm puzzled about one aspect of this. My 2020 MS is listed in the recall.
