When will trial start rolling out?

For TeslaFi reporting vehicles (only 19K of the total Tesla population), the majority are not on v12 FSD (2024.3.x), but in the post above with the tweet from Rohan Patel, he indicated that only around 12% of the entire fleet is on v11 FSD (2024.8.x). .

    Playlist for testing new car

The Chesky Records "Ultimate Demonstration Disc" is a go-to of mine. There are 14 test tracks, each with a preceding track with a narrator describing what you should be listening for in each test track. Here's a link to the disc on Spotify. Make sure you turn off "Immersive Sound" as it adds...

Tesla wants to replace my Model Y Standard Range battery pack with an LFP pack

I don't think I saw anyone mention this, but the LPF batteries are limited to charging at 32 amps, whereas the 2170 Li-ion batteries charge at 48 amps. It doesn't really matter charging at home since we charge overnight. While we haven't used a supercharger on my wife's M3RWD, I'm expecting the...

    2022 Model Y - USB Data Ports - USB-A Glovebox Only

I don’t have any USB-C storage devices, but I’m pretty sure that the 2 USB-C ports on the module I have are for charging only. The 4 USB-A ports are for data-only.

    2022 Model Y - USB Data Ports - USB-A Glovebox Only

I have a Feb 2022 MYLR on 2024.2.7 which had the blue data cable disconnected but taped to the power cable. I replaced the entire OEM panel that only had two USB-C power ports with the Carrkoopy panel from Amazon with two fast-charging USB-C ports (the 65W port charges my Surface Pro 7+) and 4...

    Model Y Car Mat Suggestions

I wasn't aware of the availability of a "version two". I purchased the MY mats in early 2022 and the M3 mats in July of 2023. Just send an email to Tesmanian. They typically respond within a day and are very friendly.

    Model Y Car Mat Suggestions

No problems at all with long keyboards. It is not difficult to "walk" the top end over the lip, since it's not that high. For my gear, I only need to lower the driver-side rear seat. I have an 88-key hammer action that lays flat and a 73-key that stands up on the back edge. The...

All weather mats…. Tis the season (POLL)

I've had my MYLR for almost two years and have driven over 23,000 miles. 80% of the time, I'm alone in the car, so the only noticeable wear is a smoothing of the texture under the heel of my right foot (although it is not dented and is still grippy). The rest of the mats look like new. Every...

    Nicest looking rubber floor mats

If you're leaning towards WeatherTech, also look at the Tesmanian mats. Rubbery feel underfoot, less expensive, minimalist appearance, easy to keep clean and looking new (use 303 aerospace protectant as soon as you get them), great coverage (especially for the dead pedal), and you can get...

My (new) Model Y almost always sounds like it is charging, what is it actually doing?

As I recall, when I first got my MYLR (February 2022 in Ohio, so no cabin overheat protection involved), it seemed like it was frequently making noise when it was plugged into the wall connector (charge level set to 90%), even though it would be fully charged. It would be at times when the car...

Regen braking - Clicking feeling and weak at times

Good thought. I can't speak for the others, but I've driven in colder weather in November (20 degrees then vs 35 degrees now) on releases prior to 2022.44.x and didn't experience the chunking noise issue or the reduced regen as the regular braking would take over seamlessly. For me, this is...

Regen braking - Clicking feeling and weak at times

I’m experiencing the same thing with 2022.44.2. I’m hearing something like a “chunk” sound at random times when backing off the accelerator, but I can’t reproduce at will. Also, the friction brakes don’t seem to be kicking in as much when regen braking is not at full strength.

    New Car totaled

I would guess that it depends upon the requirements of state in which you live (and of course, your insurance policy), but I had to specifically add a new car replacement policy (for an additional $52 per year) that provides a new vehicle as a replacement for two model years, and after that, a...
