    Cost to run dedicated 240v 60amp line to garage

    See if he can run the new 60A line in the conduit alongside the existing 20A line. That would eliminate the subpanel entirely and avoid disturbing the existing wiring. Use the new line exclusively for the Tesla. You might want to spring for the $500 for the Tesla wall unit instead of the NEMA...

    First significant problem with LR AWD after 2 years and 28k miles

    Anyone have any advice for those of us living in squirrel country? We're planning to put up a carport just to keep the squirrel poop off, but have been worried about possible damage. Haven't had it in the past, but we've got some nasty ones here, and any helpful hints would be appreciated.

    Beg to disagree. It's expensive and slow to ship fully-assembled cars across the ocean. They'll build in China for the Asia-Pacific market, but cars for the U.S. will probably be built in U.S./Canada/Mexico, as they are today. The split among those may change.

    GFCI Breaker is Code for EV Charging

    It's not a receptacle, it's a charging device, direct-connected. The fact that it ultimately plugs into the car does not make it a receptacle; in fact, if anything, it's quite the opposite. Refer to any good dictionary.

    To clarify, that only applies once you attach the Tesla charge port. With an outlet installed, you would need the GFCI to be compliant, as you could plug anything in there.

    I would make the claim that it's not an EV charging port, it's a specific device, a Tesla charging station with integrated GFCI protection (per the manual), therefore the requirement does not apply.

    All you need to do is drive on I-476 once in a while. Plenty of opportunities for panic stops.

    Took delivery of mine on Saturday (9/19). Paint looks good all around, a few very minor alignment details, otherwise no issues.
