    (A hopeful) Beginner's Guide to Wheels/Tires

Regarding the possibility of the stock tires cracking in cold weather: yes, it’s possible. No, it’s not likely. If you’re looking to read up on this stuff, go check out some of the articles and comparisons over on TireRack’s site. You could also search up anything relative to “tire glass...

New tires killed my range (20-30% decrease)

Likely this is just the impact of a higher rolling resistance tire. I’m assuming you’ve already checked tire PSI to confirm the folks doing the install set it correctly?

My Two Weeks Old Tesla Model 3 Depreciated by 10% Overnight

I get where the OP is coming from buuuuut this isn’t anything new and also not specific to Tesla. I remember back in the mid-90’s, Toyota made a rather large cut to the price on the MKIV Supra ($15k IIRC)... people were pissed, some folks got “stuck” with their cars, and life moved on. Heck...

MSS Sports Height Adjustable Springs Model 3 Performance

I haven’t seen withholding spring rates to be the norm in motorsports/enthusiast applications. In fact, there are a decent number of manufacturers who will allow you to pick your spring rate (within a range) OR custom valving for whatever rates you need.

MSS Sports Height Adjustable Springs Model 3 Performance

Thanks for checking. :) I understand their desire to protect rates but it’s a bit silly, IMO. I think it’ll deter more folks than they’ll save in lost IP/development. Blocking tenders isn’t crude at all and it’s a great tool to keep lightly loaded tires (inside front or rear) in contact with...

    NEMA 14-50 Location

100% correct. I was chatting with a buddy of mine this afternoon who’s an electrician. He suggested either doing the long run from the breaker panel or pulling from the panel adjacent to the meter and adding a breaker before the outlet. Not sure which way I’ll go as the garage walls have a...

MSS Sports Height Adjustable Springs Model 3 Performance

Interesting concept. Looks a lot like the Ground Control coilover sleeves that have been kicking around for ages. Did MSS share what spring rates come in their kit? Also, are the tender springs at the rear designed to be completely blocked at static ride height or are they trying for a dual...

    NEMA 14-50 Location

Actually looking at precisely this ^^ for myself. The breaker box/panel for the house is at the very back of the garage. The electric meter is on the exterior of the house but toward the front of the garage so it appears it should be significantly easier to tie into the system there and have the...

Damaged by 10 days old Tesla Model 3

Ehhhhh... agree to disagree? As I said, it depends on what you’re comfortable with as the final product. I’ve seen solid PDR folks perform miracles and doubt they could make this one factory perfect again. Could they get it “good enough” for the OP? Maybe.

Damaged by 10 days old Tesla Model 3

Serious question: how picky are you? Is your car an appliance or is it something that you want to be perfect? If you’re ok without it being perfect, I’d look at having someone do PDR on the rear quarter and door. Couple that with some paint correction and it’ll be a good 20/20 job... maybe even...

    Mitin suspension

I managed to track down these dampers on the Mitin Suspension site... but I see zero evidence that suggests they’re something I’d even bother to experiment with. Suspension,M40 Series | TAIWAN MITIN INDUSTRIAL CO., LTD. As others have mentioned, damper valving is the critical piece of the...
