I was able to write a native app for SOME of the functionality, but it basically just supports seeing a list of users and their checkin info, badges, etc, and then seeing recent checkins. I stopped after that because any other functionality requires login and that's all maintained via web...

I reached out to the maintainers of Supercharging.life because I was interested in building out a native mobile app for it. I feel like some of these issues could be overcome with something native, and it could benefit from things like location services, native maps, etc.

I would consider myself someone that doesn't mind walking, but even I wouldn't really consider that "walking distance" given the timespan of a typical charging session. Google Maps walking directions give a 19 minute walk, so just there and back you're looking at most of a charging session.

I drove through the eastbound service area yesterday (November 6th) and there was still fencing up around the construction site. All of the covers were still on though.

Has anyone been able to pull information on the permits?

Ok, that functionality is odd then. I got to the map by clicking on "Map" on another user's page. Based on that interaction one would assume they would be viewing the map of that user's checkins, which would mean all pins would have to have at least one check in. It seems odd to have to toggle...

I have a question. When viewing a person's map, what is the difference between a red and green pin?

I stopped by the location today. No workers present. The spots are open, but no seemingly no power to the stalls.

Got a chance to check out two new ones on a long weekend trip the last few days. Angola, IN Honestly, this one is not one of my preferred options. It worked out for us since we were already planning a stop on our trip to visit some friends. The charger is only 6 120 kW chargers. Not a deal...

Whenever we go on trips, my wife's first question about a Supercharger is "is it at a Meijer". That's usually a good indication that there will be other stuff around as well.

Yeah generally when I've got a trip planned I'll just pull up the supercharger location in maps to see what's around it.

There is a chick-fil-a, Panera, qdoba, 5 guys, and twin peaks all within immediate walking distance.

Yes. When Tesla marks that a supercharger is coming in a particular city, it defaults to the map’s default location of that city, which for Detroit, is Campus Martius.

Drove by this morning (5/24). Not much progress other than the cleanup of the material near the transformer. This was early in the morning, so I didn't really expect to see any crew on-site.

Anyone know if there's been any damage to the Gaylord SC from the Tornado that passed through there over the weekend?

Was at Meijer today and drove by. Looks like electrical work going on. All of the faceplates were pulled off. There were some guys working in the cabinets at the north end.

According to the township records, there's an electrical service release inspection scheduled for Tomorrow, May 10th

Update from the morning of 5/4. Looks like they've got 8 of the stalls installed so far.

Went by there today (April 15th). Looks like a little bit of progress in the form of some poured concrete.

I looked up the electrical permit attached to the project (the old one expired March 31st) and it looks like they changed electrical contractors.

No. This was an empty (no connected trailer) semi tractor that has been there as long as I can remember. At least since before any permit or mention of that site for a supercharger.

Interesting possibility. Seems odd though given that there's already a Supercharger on the north side of Fort Wayne. I would think a better option for a new one would be the south side. It would better serve folks traveling towards Indianapolis from Ohio on 24, taking the south loop around Fort...

I was at Meijer on Sunday, March 6th. No progress to be seen.

Is that semi tractor still sitting next to the curb that would be used as the base of the electrical components? That thing has been sitting there for over a year. I can't see anything happening until it moves.

I am confused why this got added as permitted on supercharge.info. The documents provided by @tesrella were simply applications for a permit, correct?

I just emailed [email protected] and asked for "records related to the construction of a Tesla Supercharger (an electric vehicle charging station for Tesla vehicles)." I also added the tentative location and the BS&A project number, which is JCOMPR21-0003. They responded the next day...

No need to really. Already got (and posted here) all of the drawings and other pertinent information through a FOIA.

Status Update: I called the electrical contractor listed on the permit and asked if they had an estimate of when they were going to begin work (as per my previous post they had said not until the new year). This time, the receptionist replied "I have no knowledge of that" and rather quickly...

Where are you referring to? This is the listing on the Tesla site.

Looks like there’s also a few more food options within walking distance. LongHorn Steakhouse, McDonald’s, Taco Bell, Arby’s, and more.

Just for another data point, I am in Novi and I used Westborn Electric - Westborn Electric – Serving Metro-Detroit since 1997 about a year ago. They were really helpful and had the line run (through my basement and out to the garage) very quickly and the required conduit looks great. The guys...

The Detroit one shows Q2 2022 and has been pushed out multiple times. I wouldn't hold my breath. They will likely just push the date on the Cleveland one.
